Kick Up Your Heels On Your Birthday!

Happy Birthday Kim!!!

I made this card for one of my "besties", Kim over at Oak Pond Creations. Today is her Birthday!!! Kim is a fellow crafter and I have managed to pull her to the dark side. Bwahahahaha! She has become a really good card crafter in a short period of time. I am not surprised because she is a talented writer, photographer and jewelry maker. I knew she had it in her the whole time, she just needed an "enabler" to help yank it out.
Kim, I hope you have a fabulous day! Enjoy every minute of it!! Love ya, Jen

SNOW in South Carolina!?!

We had snow here in South Carolina on and off the whole day!!! The ground was too wet so it didn't stick but it was really nice to watch the flurries. Almost a "white Christmas". My "Let It Snow" flag is such a joke here at my house because we NEVER get any snow but this year I guess the joke was on us. Lol! I had to snap a picture for the scrapbook.

Happy Birthday Sista!!!

I am soooo late in posting this card! My Sister's Birthday was on the 17th and with Christmas I totally forgot to send her a card for her Birthday. I know...I know...that is so slack! I did call her and talk to her ON her Birthday if that helps redeem me at all. She lives in Colorado which is way too far for my liking. We went and spent a week and a half with her and her family this summer and it has made me miss her even more. So.....
***HAPPY BIRTHDAY PAM!!!***
I LOVE you!

This is us back in July! See...just like the picture (but swap us around).

O Star of Wonder...

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge #43 - Teddy Bears

It's Tuesday and that means the start of another challenge over at Sassy Cheryl's. Judy is our hostess with the mostest again this week and she has picked Teddy Bears for our challenge. What's not to love about teddy bears!?! I know I have loved a few and I still have a couple that I will probably never get rid of. You can tell them anything! The image I chose is called "Going to See the Star". This is such a beautiful image! Cheryl has a great way of capturing childhood innocence.

Sassy Cheryl's is having a BIG end of the year Christmas sale!!

****30% through Dec. 24th***

We know everyone is busy this time of the year so Cheryl is going to run this challenge for two weeks to make sure you all have time to join in. So, pick out your favorite Sassy Teddy Bear and get back in the craft room! Can't wait to see what you create.

Glory to God in the Highest...

This is another beautiful Christmas image from Just Inklined called "Christmas Wreath Pinecones". I wanted this image to be the main focus of the card with the MS punch scalloped edges accenting it. It has so much detail that I really didn't think the card needed any extra embellishments.

I am really enjoying being a guest designer for Just Inklined this month. I will probably have one more post for them next week so keep an eye out for another one of their fabulous images.

I hope you are all almost to the point of relaxation this Holiday season and can take time to enjoy your friends and family. I finally finished my Christmas cards and that was a big relief! Now it's time to make Christmas cookies and get some last minute shopping done.

Sassy Cheryl's Show Me #6

Right now I am working on my Christmas cards and I can't show those so I will show you what I found on my desk yesterday afternoon when I got home from work. My cute little kitty cat Seven loves to make nests in the weirdest places, especially papers. I had all that "stuff" neatly arranged on the corner of my desk until she came in with her little paws and REARRANGED it for me. Silly cat! Isn't she adorable?
Okay, enough "Awww...". Go link up a pic of your desk with Cheryl (HERE) and let us get a peek at what you are working on this week. She doesn't mind if your desk is a "hot mess", she just wants to see your creative minds at work.

It's snooping' time again at Sassy Cheryl's blog!
I don't have anything on my desk except "New goodies"! I am most excited about my Prisma Premier Colored Pencils!!! We had our "Inky Digits" Christmas party Tuesday and we had a great time. Yummy food and a fun gift swapping game. I came home with my new pencils...WooHoo!! I can't wait to use them, hoping I get hooked! I also have a set of stamps I borrowed from my friend Linda. I am thinking about using them for my Christmas cards. I have a stack of brand new gorgeous papers from "Aw Shucks" scrapbook store! They always have the most beautiful papers. I have some printed corset images I will be using on an up coming B-day card. I also have a bunch of "stuff" laying around (as usual). I really need to organize after the Holidays. Lol

First of all...I hope you all celebrating had a fabulous Thanksgiving! I had a wonderful day full of Family, turkey and PIE! I do have to say that I made Paula Deen's Pumpkin Cream Cheese Pie and it was Awesome! I can hear it calling my name right now.

It's "Show Me Thursday" again at Sassy Cheryl's and instead of showing you what I am working on I want to show you what my Family has been working on. (Behind my Back! Sneaky little devils!) This is my Anniversary present I got today, three days early. I have wanted an old wooden window for a long time to use as a picture frame and I finally got one customized just for me by my three favorite people. Of course you know that I cried for a few minutes and then immediately had to have it hung! I am so blessed and thankful for my Husband and Children. I love you guys! You are my world... ♥

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge #39 - Thankful

This week at Sassy Cheryl's we are celebrating Thanksgiving by being Thankful. It is the perfect time to reflect and remember all the things that mean the most to us. I have so much to be thankful for. I have a loving family, a place to live, a job, food on my table...(and the list goes on).
It seems that more and more people I know are having to part with their loved ones who are going off to serve their Country. I wanted to let those people know that I am thankful for them also. God Bless You!

I used Cheryl's "Liberty Bear" for my card today. Her Americana images are fantastic! My fellow crafter/cardmaker friend Lisa made me several colors of seam binding ribbon and I love it. I chose the red, thanks Lisa! The sentiment is from TLC Creations. Come join in the challenge and let us know what you're thankful for.

Not only is Cheryl giving away the usual gift certificate to her store, there is a chance to win this beautiful ceramic platter with one of Cheryl's adorable snowmen. Sure wish I was eligable. Lol

Sassy Cheryl's "Show Me Thursday" #1

It's the first Show Me Thursday at Sassy Cheryl's Designs, and it's time to show Cheryl what you're working on in your studio/craft room.

My desk is a little cluttered right now because I have a few things getting ready to get started on and I did a little shopping this week. In the center on my mat I have my "Jumping Jack Santa" image for Cheryl's "Color Me, Please" challenge. He is so cute!! And under my copics is a cutie I am working on for next Tuesday's Sassy Cheryl's Challenge blog. I can't show that to you yet but Ooooooh how I love this image!!!
The cute little otter to the right of Santa is from The Stamping Bazaar. He is called "Catch of the Day". I won this little cutie for the Honorable Mention prize for their 2nd weekly challenge. (Thanks for picking my card Marina, I am very honored) So, I am gonna use the sketch underneath him and enter him in their 3rd weekly challenge.
On my cutter is a stack of BEAUTIFUL papers I got this week at "Aw Shucks Scrapbooking" and my new CLEARANCE punch set from Michaels!!! I know...I already have enough paper (at least that's what I'm told) but I really needed it. Lol
Oh, and last but not least is the Moose ornament I bought for my son. I found this cutie at WalMart of all places. It's a little joke we have in our family. We call Jackson "Moose" because he just turned 12 and is already taller than I am and I'm 5'10"!!!! He is a big boy and he is still growing.
So, hop on over and show Cheryl what you're working on today! HERE I will be by to snoop too!

Too Much Football...

This is for all the "Football Fanatics" and "Sunday Sitters" out there. This is an image from The Digi Shack. It is called "Dad's Day Remote". How many men in America look like this on game day? I would add a pic of my Hubby right now but I don't think that would go over too well. Looks about like this except the couch is leather and he is snackin' on chicken wings. Lol Hope all you guys (and football lovin' gals) enjoy football season! Go Panthers! Oh, who am I kidding....not this year. *sigh*

It is very inexpensive too. The adorable image I used is called "Birthday Bears". Cheryl has the best variety of bears and they are all so stinkin' cute. Check out her shop HERE and come play along with us this week in the Sassy Cheryl's challenge.

The sentiment I used is from TLC Creations. Paulette always seems to have just the sentiments I am looking for.

Paulette always seems to have a sentiment that goes perfectly with what I am working on. While you're in "Blog Land" today check out the other DT members crafty creations. It Takes Two

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge #36 - Fall Colors

I am the hostess this week at Sassy Cheryl's and I chose the theme of "Fall Colors". I love fall for it's colors and smells.
From now until the end of Jan. is my favorite time of year. After that I am ready for summer again. My fun time starts off with Halloween and runs through my Birthday month. (Yes, I said month! A single day is NOT enough.)

The Sassy image I chose is called "Cliff Hanging Pumpkin Pushers". I love this image because it can be Fall or Halloween. Those little costumes they are wearing are adorable. You can purchase this image HERE. I also wanted to let you know that Cheryl is now on Facebook!! She loves to see all the crafty creations made with her images so go send her a friend request and start sharing!

I have to give some credit to TLC Creations for this sentiment! It fits perfectly with the scene I was creating. I love it when a plan comes together. HeeHee! So thanks Paulette!

Come join in on the fun HERE and create your own Sassy creation! We love to see all your beautiful designs. This week you have a chance to be a Sassy Cheryl guest designer!!

Dino Boy!

Happy Birthday to my "Best Boy", "Buddy Bear", "JoBoo", "Mini Man"...
My son Jackson turns 12 tomorrow! One more year and he will be a teenager! Where has the time gone? It seems like only yesterday he was running around with his curly hair and dinosaurs. He and his dinosaurs were inseparable! When he was 3 my brother in law asked him what he wanted to be when he grew up and he told him, "I want to be a Paleontologist". I don't think he was expecting that answer, but that was just Jackson. He soaked up every bit of information he could find about dinosaurs like a sponge. That phase passed a couple years ago and I miss it so much. He actually had a dinosaur back pack in kindergarten. So when I saw this image from Mo's Digital Pencil I knew it was the image for him. He actually had a dinosaur back pack his first year of school. I am entering this card in Mo's Challenge this week for "Fall Colors".
