O Star of Wonder...
Sassy Cheryl's Challenge #43 - Teddy Bears
It's Tuesday and that means the start of another challenge over at Sassy Cheryl's. Judy is our hostess with the mostest again this week and she has picked Teddy Bears for our challenge. What's not to love about teddy bears!?! I know I have loved a few and I still have a couple that I will probably never get rid of. You can tell them anything! The image I chose is called "Going to See the Star". This is such a beautiful image! Cheryl has a great way of capturing childhood innocence.
Sassy Cheryl's is having a BIG end of the year Christmas sale!!
****30% through Dec. 24th***
We know everyone is busy this time of the year so Cheryl is going to run this challenge for two weeks to make sure you all have time to join in. So, pick out your favorite Sassy Teddy Bear and get back in the craft room! Can't wait to see what you create.

Santas Making Snow Angels!
This image is called "Jumping Jack Santa" but my Family and I thought he was making snow angels so we changed it up a bit. I'm a traditional kinda gal so I kept with Santa's traditional colors, but I did give him a little sparkle. Hope you all come play along for a chance to win a free Sassy Cheryl image!

Oh Christmas Tree
Tracy is our crafty hostess with the mostest this week for the Sassy Cheryl's blog challenge. She would like us to do some paper piecing. I am kinda new to paper piecing but I absolutely love it! I chose two images to work with this week; "Blanket Santa" & "Primitive Tree". This cute little Santa was screaming at me! His jammies and blankie are perfect for paper piecing. I had to give him some old fashioned jammies and a patchwork quilt. This card ended up "slightly" bigger than I had planned so I may just keep it for a Christmas decoration. Might cost a small fortune to mail it. Lol My hubby insisted I put another row of trees along the top, which I have to admit looks better. Love you honey!
Cheryl has the cutest Holiday images in her shop. It's never too early to start on those Christmas cards!
Paper: Bo Bunny-Tis' the Season, Scenic Route-Rockland, My Minds Eye-Tiny Dots(blue), Bazzill Basics-Rain & Rain Forest

Cake is great, but presents don't make you gain weight!

I would like to say "Happy Birthday" to a special lady today! Her name is Linda and some of you may know her from her Turtle In The Sand blog. She is a great friend and a terrible enabler! Not only is she a long time friend, she is actually practically family. Are you ready for this...she is my husband's, brother's, wife's mother. Bahahahaha! (my mother-in-law, once removed) I have known her for 20 years and am blessed to have her in my life. I love ya' Linda! Hope you have a fabulous day! Let's go to Michael's @ lunch. HeeHee
If you know Linda (and even if you don't) hop on over to her blog and wish her a Happy Birthday!

Twiggy The Snowman
Jodi was our hostess this week at Sassy Cheryl's and she wanted us to one of Cheryl's snowman images with buttons, ribbons & sparkle. I think all snowmen should sparkle so this one was fun for me.
I used Twiggy The Snowman and colored him with copic markers, used Marvy liquid applique on his hat & socks and sparkled him up with Martha Stewart crystal course glitter. Paper is Cosmo Cricket & Cloud 9 Design. EK Success snowflake border punch.
Come join in on the fun HERE and create your own Snowman and show us your stuff.

Movie Night!

Made this card for a SUPER friend! She needed a BIG "Thank You" from me. Not only did she watch my furry babies for me while I was on vacation for 2 WEEKS; she also took my daughters Senior pictures at no cost. Kim...You are awesome!!! She and her family are a bunch of movie nuts!! I dont think there is a movie they haven't seen. So I put together a little movie package for them to enjoy at home and at the theatre. Love you guys!!
This adorable image is from Karen's Doodles and I colored it with copics.
I used a popcorn bag(actually like thin cardboard) from "Bag of Chips", a party favor I found at Hobby Lobby. The film strip is Queen&Co., felt fusion. I used liquid applique on the popcorn to give it some dimension. The "fresh popcorn" sign is on top of a tag that fits in the pocket to hide a gift card.

I Triple Dog Dare You!

Here I am again at the last minute this week...shame on me!
Cathy was our hostess again this week and she wanted us to use a color combo (pink, white & black). What a fun challenge!! I love these colors! This cutie of an image is from Sassy Cheryl's of course. She is called "Getting Stuck". She is by far my favorite right now and I just had to use her. The paper is from "The Paper Studio". I just realized that my sparkly snowflake looks a awful shade of gold in this pic. Ewww! It is really diamond stickles and is a pretty shiny, silvery color. But in the essence of time the picture has to stay AS IS. Sorry
I can honestly say that I have never stuck my tongue to a freezing cold lamp post.....but I did get my tongue stuck on the freezer shelf when I was about nine. I know! DUH!!! Gosh, I was just trying to taste it. My brother (6 yrs. older & wiser) had to pour warm water on it to get me un-stuck. Needless to say, I learned my lesson.

Wishing You Joy

This image is "Tiny Tabitha" From Sassy Cheryl's of course! I tried something new to me this time. I paper pieced her clothes. It was tedious; but lots of fun. Her coat & hat are Frances Meyer & My Minds Eye. Blue back ground paper is Fancy Pants. I used Liquid Applique with Martha Stewart crystal course glitter on top then heated to get the fluffy look for her mittens, hat & snow. I embossed the white card stock with Cuttle Bug's Snowflakes folder. I used EK Success scallop border & Martha Stewart Snowflake punches, a snowflake brad and pink tulle. The sentiment is a Kolette Hall stamp.
