Nothing says Lovin'...like something from the oven!!

Totally Papercrafts Challenge #77 - Bling it Up!!

Happy Friday my bloggy friends! It's Friday and not only is it almost the weekend but it's also time for a new Totally Papercraft's challenge!! Anne picked the theme this week and she has asked to see some BLING! I was coloring this image for my MIL and decided it would be perfect for this challenge. She is currently remodeling her kitchen. Hopefully she will invite us over for some "good cooking" when it is all finished. ** hint...hint **. I was going for the "Retro/I Love Lucy" feel for this card. For "bling" on the front I have added some swirls with red stickles, stickles on the polka dots, shoes, & pocket, silver pie plate and a crystal button.

On the inside I used my Gelly Roll pen in "silver star" to high light the handles on the stove, tea kettle and pan to give them a chrome look. I reached into my memory banks to try and remember my Mom's old egg shell colored stove. I think I got the color pretty close.

Looking forward to seeing your creations on the challenge blog.
Happy Crafting!!

Hola Mi Amigo!

I was trying to decide which Just Inklined digi to show case this week and came across Mexico Phil. I love this guy!!! His mustache is SLAMMIN'! I decided to pull out my scrap box and be thrifty for a while so I have no clue which companies they came from...sorry. My "creative consultant" gave me the idea for the tumbleweed, how cool is that? I added some hand stitching to the top right corner. I wanted to let you all in on my secret for keeping my stitches so straight. In the needle point center of your craft store they have these "grate thingies" (really don't know what they call it...SEE BELOW for pic). The little squares are the perfect distance apart. Just put it down on your paper where you want to stitch and put pencil dot marks where you want the stitching. Easy peasy!! I am not a sewer so if I can do it, I know you can. Lol

In The Pits!

It's Tuesday and that means it's time for another Sassy Cheryl's challenge!!!
This week our hostess with the mostest is our very own Sassy Heather. She has chosen a perfect theme for all of Cheryl's adorable Sassy girls. She wants to see some ribbon and lace. As you can see, even the Sassy girls with attitude require some froo froo too. When I started to color this cutie I imagined her with red hair but after I colored her dress and picked out the DP she told me she wanted to be a Blondie. ( would you argue with her?? )

I usually don't show the inside of my cards but since my sentiment was on the inside and kind of explained why she was so grumpy, I thought I should. The sentiment is from Paulette over at Create with TLC. I think this would be a great "I miss you" card .

There were some beautiful entries in last weeks challenge and I hope to see you all again this week. Good luck winning that Sassy Cheryl's gift certificate and Happy Crafting!!

She way having a Blogaversary give away and I was lucky enough to be the recipient of one of her prizes. She really was overly generous. Oh Poop!... And some exciting news!

Happy Friday Bloggy friends! I get to share some BIG news with you today. Today is my first post for Totally Papercrafts DT. WooHoo!! I was so excited and honored to be asked. So every Friday; just in time for the weekend, I will have a new challenge for you to join in.

The theme this week is "For a Boy" and our sponsor is Charmed Cards & Crafts, a great on line store with a wide variety of products for your paper crafting needs. The prize is two digi bundles of the winners choice.

When I saw this little cutie I knew he had to go into my Mo's Digital Pencil file!! He was too cute not to pass up. I was working on my card and was thinking of putting a button in the bottom left corner and was wishing I had a small roll of toilet paper sticker or button, but alas...no such luck. Then my creative consultant (who chooses to remain nameless) says, "Just make one". Easier said than done right?!? Then proceeds to tell me exactly what to do!! How clever is my hubby...ummm I mean "Creative Consultant". Lol

Birthday Lift

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge #73 - Circles

It's Tuesday!! That means it's time for another Sassy Cheryl's Challenge!!! Yay!!! This week our hostess with the mostest is Heather and she wants to see some CIRCLES!! This was really fun for me because I just love polka dots!! The hardest part was choosing which image to use. I finally decided on "Birthday Lift" because her balloon was a perfect circle. There is also another part to this image. I separated it and was going to use it too, but I ran out of room. Lol! I had to frame this image in circles and was so happy to find a sentiment with circles in it too over at Create with TLC. I sure hope to see you in the challenge this week. Happy Crafting!!!

Sorry I haven't made my rounds. I was away on a little 4 day vacation to Georgia this past weekend. We went to see an Atlanta Braves game on Friday (their 10,000th franchise win) and Six Flags on Saturday. So, that means I was POOPED on Sunday!!! We had great weather, temps were in the 80's, not typical of Summer in the South. Lucky us!!

Walk in the Rain

Good Morning!! I came over here with my bagel and tea to browse through bloggy land this morning and ***GASPED*** when I saw my post!!! Where did the middle of my post go???? The blog fairy must have snatched it!! Anyway....I will try to replicate (hope you don't think my memory is that good - Lol )
This week at Sassy Cheryl's our very own Judy is the hostess and she wants to see some "paper ribbon". I was a little confused until she explained the obvious to me...DUH! Just take some paper and make it look like ribbon. I felt a little doofy...thanks for setting me straight Judy.
So get creative with your papers and lets see what kind of ribbons you come up with. Just make your card with a Sassy Cheryl image and give it to "Mr. Linky". Can't wait to see what you all come up with.

Sassy Cheryl's Show Me Thursday...on Saturday. A day earlier than last week, doing better.

Hey Look...I cleaned up a little!!! I have been enjoying a little coloring this week so there isn't too much to show you. I will start from the left. I started a new "Step Card", colored up several images, received a change of address card (too cute) from Janetlynne, and Savannah brought me back a surprise from "Carolina Stamper" in Beaufort when she went to visit her G-ma. She bought me a Diamond Spellbinder die set. How sweet is that? That store ROCKS!!! If you are ever in Beaufort, SC you gotta go there. If it weren't 4 hours away I would be permanently broke!! So, now that you have taken a "nosey" around my crafty desk it's your turn to show us yours. Take a pic and link it up to Sassy Cheryl's blog and share!!

Just Clowning Around!

Another Accordion Gift Book!!!

I made this little accordion gift book for Teddy Bo's challenge this week, Anything But a Card.
I have made several of these now and each one is just as fun as the one before.
I just adore these beautiful Teddy Bo Bears.

This is the inside where you can put a gift card, candy or small gift. I also made a pocket to leave a personal note.

Write this one in the books...You Dit It!!

This week at Sassy Cheryl's the ever so talented Judy is the hostess and she wants to see some scallops!! I thought I would do as I'm told and pulled out one of the few scallop punches I have. I used it to border my ribbon on this card.
This is the card I made for my Daughter Savannah's graduation. This little Sassy gal looks so much like her when she was that age, I couldn't pass her up. Her favorite color is yellow so I picked out this yellow card stock as my backdrop. The inside has Sassy Cheryl's "Little Girl Graduate". Kind of a before and after thing. Lol
So, pull out your scalloped punches, scissors or die cuts and join in on the fun. There is a Gift Certificate to Sassy Cheryl's shop up for grabs. Good luck and happy crafting!!

I Love this American ride!

This month's theme for the Just Inklined Blog Hop is Red, White & Blue (Celebration optional).
There are two mystery spot prizes to be won!!
The two blogs with the prizes are not known so make sure you visit each stop on the blog hop for a better chance to win. I know these crafty girls have some beautiful creations to share with you. The oh so talented, Toni is leading this month so make sure you start with her. If you came here from crafty Joyce's blog you are on the right track. Your next stop will be with our fearless leader Jak. I hope you enjoy the hop and GOOD LUCK!!

Happy Independence Day America!!!

I was flipping through my Just Inklined images trying to decide which image I wanted to use and Daisy jumped out at me. I remember when I was little there was always a parade on the Fourth of July. We would all put red, white and blue tassels on our bicycle's handle bars and an American flag on the back of our seats and ride to the parade. Later that night we would ride out again to see the fireworks. This is what I imagined Daisy was doing too. She kinda reminds me of myself. (Except I would NEVER have been caught in a dress. I was a big Tom Boy)
I hope you all have a safe and wonderful July 4th!!

The order of the hop:

Paper: Creative Memories - Stars, Bazzill Basics - Breaker Bay & Red Devil
Accessories: Clip art - fireworks, Cuttle Bug - Star border embossing folder, Fiskars - Corner punch, Glossy accents, stickles & twine

Sassy Cheryl's Show Me Thursday...on Sunday AGAIN!

As you can see my clean desk DID NOT last very long. I have been in there making a mess.
I have actually had time to color. I needed that. On the far left you can see my BIG DEAL of the week. I found these Cricut cartridges at Wal-Mart for $7.50!!! Woo Hoo!!! I was so excited, I know the cashier had to think I was a looney bird.
I am gonna go so I can link my post up to Sassy Cheryl's Show Me Thursday and snoop around and see what everyone else has been up to. Hope to see your crafty space there too.
