Hallelujah!

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge #146 - Snowmen

Happy Tuesday! Only one week left before Christmas! Can you believe how fast it snuck up on us?
This week at Sassy Cheryl's we are getting our "Frosty" on with the challenge theme Snowmen, brought to you by our very own Crafty Cathy.  Great choice girl!! Perfect, especially for all of you lucky enough to have snow right now. Us Southerners will just have to pretend. ((*sigh*))
This week's challenge will run for 2 weeks so we can take a little break for Christmas.
That gives you a little extra time to join in on the fun.
This little snowball of fun is one of Cheryl's new Snowmen. Isn't he adorable?
He is Fa La La La La Snowman and you can find him HERE.

I would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Blessed New Year!

I made this card as a Birthday card for my Sister, Pam. She turned 44 yesterday and I would just like to remind her that she will ALWAYS be older than me. HeeHeeHee!!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY SISTA!!!

"I'm in Love, I'm in Love...and I don't care who knows it!!!"

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge #145 - Feeling the Love

Good Tuesday morning Blogland! It's time for another challenge over at Sassy Cheryl's and it's my turn to pick the theme,  I'm such a Lucky girl!! I have chosen the theme Feeling the Love. Afterall, isn't that what this time of year is supposed to be about? Cheryl has soooo many images that can be associated with love. This little cutie was the one that caught my eye this week. Sassy Sally and her Favorite Blankie  just jumped out at me. Isn't she a doll?!? I think her little bear slippers look so comfy. I couldn't decide if I wanted to make them pink or brown, but as you can see, the brown won in the end. Lol
I paired her up with a new pack of paper I found from Martha Stewart. ( I can hear my Hubby now..."More paper?!?") I couldn't help it...

Last week's White Christmas really did challenge me. Thanks for making me step out of my comfort zone Jackie. I really enjoyed the entries from you crafty gals, so glad you had time to join us. This weeks challenge is gonna be a fun one so come on back and play again. Looking forward to seeing your take on what "LOVE" means to you.
Happy Crafting Y'all!!

Holiday Happenings

Sassy Cheryl's Show Me Thursday #103

It's time  to play along with Cheryl again in her Show Me Thursday Challenge. I know the Holidays are a busy time of year and these past few weeks have been CRAZY!
This past Thursday my Son Jackson  and his chorus class had a performance at one of our local theaters. They went before the show and  sang on one of the staircases for people as they entered. It was so beautiful.
After the performance, they got to stay and see the Christmas show.
This is a pic of my oldest, Savannah and her LITTLE brother, Jackson. Lol
(and my Grandson, Landon in that very round belly)

Here's a pic of the group before the show.

I have also been working on my Daughter's baby shower invitations.
I FINALLY finished them up on Saturday....whew!

Here are the stacks before assembly.

I know things are hectic right now, but try to pop on over and join in.
You just might win a free Sassy Cheryl's image.

I'm Dreaming of a....

White Christmas!

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge #143 - White Christmas

Good Morning and welcome to Decembuurrrrrr!! Time for Christmas carols, my beautiful Nativity, lots of lighted trees, cookies and sweaters! My favorite time of year...I LOVE IT!!!
We are kicking off December at Sassy Cheryl's with at fabulous challenge chosen by our very own crafty Jackie. She has chosen the theme White Christmas.
I see such gorgeous all white cards on so many blogs and I get so jealous. I struggle without color. This is about as white as I can get. This card did not photogrtaph well, it looks much better in person. I swear! Lol
My Sassy Sisters have made some beautiful cards for you this week. Hop on over and check them out. Hopefully you will be inspired to play along with us in this week's challenge.

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge #142 - Food or Thanksgiving

Good Morning! I hope you all have made it through another Monday. They are always so "Monday",
why is that? Maybe it's so we enjoy the weekend more. Lol

It's time to join in some fun over at Sassy Cheryl's Challenge Blog. I got to pick the challenge again this week, yay! We are celebrating Thanksgiving here in The States on Thursday so I decided that a Thanksgiving theme would be fitting. Don't worry, if you don't celebrate Thanksgiving you can still play along. Just use either food or being thankful for your theme.

There is a group that I belong to called Inky Digits, some of you may have heard me mention it before. Well, it was my daughter Savannah's turn to come up with a project for this weeks meeting. She found these cute little haystacks that you can use for place settings. We sat down on Saturday and made a few so we could show all the other ladies in the group how to do it. They are soooo super easy and fun. All we did was take a 6" X 12" piece of paper, score it at 2" and 4" on the short side, score the long sides every 1/4" to the score lines you made on the short side and cut the 1/4" score lines. Then you roll up the paper and curl down the edges. Easy peasy!! Pretty cute huh? I made one with twine, acorns and punched leaves too but I just had to make one with my fave cutie pie digital fella. Noah and his Prize Winning Pumpkin were just perfect for this project. Kudos to Savannah for finding this one.

Happy Thanksgiving!!!
(and happy crafting y'all!)

Sorry...I'm Late

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge #141 - Belated Birthday

Good Morning Blogland peeps! It's Tuesday and time for a new challenge over at Sassy Cheryl's. I have the honor of choosing this week's theme and I decided on Belated Birthday. I know we all try to be on top of things and never forget a Birthday, but be honest, isn't there always one that sneaks by us?
That's what this week's challenge is all about.
I have to admit that I was flying by the seat of my pants on this one guys. My printer (to put it nicely) has bit the dust. These are NOT the words I used this weekend when I NEEDED it for a few things. I had a few cross words with it, hit it, swore at it, talked sweet to it and then paid my last respects. (insert trumpet playing Taps here)  My card feels naked without a sentiment and I just didn't have a rubber stamp that quite fit. I turned my crafty space upside down looking for ANYTHING I could use and had almost given up hope when I came across some very old rub on words. I cut those things apart like I was making a ransom note!! Thank goodness I am a pack rat. Lol
I picked Cheryl's image, Noah's Tire Swing for my card this week. Don't you just love that sweet face peeking out from behind his tire swing? Can't be mad at him, right? That's what I am hoping for anyway.

Here is the inside with some more creative ransom note style lettering.
That "L" was actually a cursive "f". Pretty good huh? lol
It's amazing the ideas that can come from desperation.

It was so great to see so many of you in our first week back to using ONLY Sassy Cheryl images.
Just goes to show you how much Cheryl's characters are adored.  We look forward to seeing you all again this week and invite even more of you to play along. The more the merrier!!

Its A Guy Thing

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge #140 - Masculine

Good Morning and Happy Tuesday! It's Election day here in The United States!! I won't go
on a long political rant but I will be exercising my right to vote tonight after I get off work and
I hope you all will be doing the same.

This weeks challenge over at Sassy Cheryl's is all about the fellas. Dawn is our Sassy hostess with the mostest and she wants to see some cards made just for guys or about guys.  I know I seen to get in a girly fru-fru rut sometimes and go to find a guy card in my stash and can't find one.  So, this is a perfect time to get one done and ready. I had the most fun coloring this cute little boy! This is Noah  is All Ears. Isn't he darling?!? He is one of my favorite Sassy Cheryl images at the moment. I say "at the moment" because my favorite always seems to change from week to week. Lol

Don't forget that starting this week you MUST USE A SASSY CHERYL'S IMAGE to enter the challenge!
We would love for you to join us and play along.

My Starbucks Addiction Finally Pays Off...

Sassy Cheryl's Show Me Thursday #98

This is a little Halloween album I made out of coffee cup insulators. As most of you know, I am a
Starbucks-a-holic. I have a whole hat box full of these coffee cup insulators that i use for gift card holders every now and then. It was my turn to lead our "Inky Digits" group and I wanted to find a way to use some of them for class. I decided to make an album and since it was Halloween...what better theme right?

This is the front. I used my "Fancy Tag" Spellbinder and give it a hinged look.

I used the whole front part of an insulator and one flap to create a little inside tab/spacer.

I also used a whole insulator and hot glued the bottom to make a pocket and made a photo tab insert.

And here, another tab/spacer. Don't you just love my google eyed monster!!

This time I used the tab on the outside edge for a journal entry later.

Another whole insulator for a pocket.

This last thing I want to show you is sooooo cool!
I work at a car dealership as a Service Adviser and the technicians have these magnetic bowl thingies on their tool boxes. It keeps their screws and bolts from running away. I decided that I HAD to have one of these for my craft table. You can turn if upside down and shake it and nothing falls out!!!

Thankful Hearts

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge #139 - Round About

Good Morning Blogland! We've come to another Tuesday and another fun challenge over at Sassy Cheryl's.
Our Sassy Sistah Dawn is the hostess this week and she has chosen the theme "Round About". What a GREAT challenge, right? I know you all will have a ball with it. Lol

Last year I saw my Sassy DT member Judy make a pumpkin with her Spellbinder's Labels 10 die cut and I knew this year I just had to try it. It was sooo fun and easy!! I haven't decided if i am going to turn this into an easel card or if I am going to use it for a decoration. What do you think?

I hope you all will have time to join us in this weeks challenge.
Get into your creative corners and think ROUND!!
Happy Crafting Y'all!!

**I have some very important information for you Sassy Cherylettes. Starting with next week's challenge, you will be required to use a Sassy Cheryl's image in your submission. **
This week is the last week we will have an "open" challenge.

The Wicked Witch of the West

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge #138 - Trick-or-Treat

Happy Spooktacular Tuesday!! Only a week to go until Halloween and our very own Sassy Ann has chosen the theme "Trick-or-Treat" for the challenge here at Sassy Cheryl's
Next to Christmas, Halloween has to be my favorite Holiday for making cards. I think it must be the colors. I just love the way black, orange and purple look together. I do love Halloween as a Holiday; but not the scary, pee your pants part. I like the "cutesy", little kids in adorable costumes part. If you are a teenager out collecting candy without a costume..."GO HOME"!! You will not receive any candy from this old witch. Lol
I chose Charlie, The Wicked Witch of the West  for my card this week.
Isn't she just the cutest little witch you've ever seen? (and her little kitty too, I'm gonna call him Jinx - Lol)
My card got a little busier than usual, but I just couldn't stop adding "stuff". Hope you enjoy it.

I can't wait to see your creations this week, so get out your spooktacular crafting accessories and join in for some Frightfully Sassy Fun!

The Good Little Witch

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge #137 - Orange and Black

Good Morning Blogland! It's time for another Sassy Cheryl's Challenge and this week our hostess with the mostest is our lovely, crafty Ann. She has chose the theme Black and Orange. Perfect timing Ann!
I know you all have at least ONE more Halloween card to make, so get out the black and orange and join in. I picked Cheryl's adorable Sassy Sally the Good Little Witch for my card this week. I found this step card base already folded and cut in my box of scraps and decided that it wanted some company. I paired it up with some Halloween papers (also scraps) and a spooky spider web border punch.
The end of October starts my favorite time of year. The cooler weather is coming in and it's time for jeans, scarves, football and PUMPKIN SPICE LATTES!!!  Next thing you know it will be time for the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. Believe me, I'm already counting down.

I hope you all have had a great start to the week. Looking forward to seeing you in the challenge.

Izabella Is Turning 2!!

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge #136 - Celebrate Birthdays

Happy Tuesday Morning!! Sorry I was M.I.A. last week. I had a bout of the "creepy cruds" and just couldn't muster up the energy to get any crafting done. It sure was nice to get back in my crafty space this weekend. I had such a good time getting ready for this weeks Sassy Cheryl's Challenge. Our crafty sweetheart Judy has set the theme this week and she wants to Celebrate Birthdays. The month of October is a BIG birthday month for me, I have SIX Birthdays to celebrate!! This card is for my Great Niece Izabella's Birthday. She will be turning 2 on the 19th!! She lives in Colorado and I sure miss her. She is my favorite little red head. Big (( hugs )) and kisses Izzy-B!! I love you!

I just HAD to give Sam a carrot top for this one.
Scroll down and you will see why...

This is the one and only, Oh So Adorable Izabella! Doesn't she look so much like Sassy Cheryl's Samantha?

I'm so glad to be back for this weeks challenge! I can't wait to see all the wonderful Birthday creations you have to share with us. Happy Crafting Y'all!!!

Happy Fall Y'all!!

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge #134 - Inspiration Photo

Happy Tuesday again Blogland! Time for the weekly Sassy Cheryl's Challenge.
This week we  are using an inspirational picture for our challenge. Dawn has picked a super fun image for us to work with. I love the inspirational picture challenges because it is always so much fun to see how each person interprets the picture. I confess... I peeked at my Sassy DT-mates cards and they are fabulous!! You will see what I mean when you see them.

Here is Dawn's pick for the inspiration photo. It's a beauty, right? Just take a look at the picture and pull out whatever inspires you and get crafty with it. You know, kind of like "Gettin' Jiggy Wit It". Lol

I have been trying so hard to keep up with all of my bloggy friends and their awesome creations. I never seem to have enough time to sit and comment or chit-chat, but that doesn't mean I'm not stopping to take a look. Hopefully I will be able to get around and share the love more often. You all inspire me so mush every day. Don't you wish we could all just sit around and get crafty all the time?
What a GREAT turn out for last week's "To Die For" challenge...WOW! Such beautiful creations you all submitted. I can't wait to see what you all come up with from this weeks "Photo Inspiration" challenge.
Have a terrific week and Happy Crafting Y'all!!!

Clowning Around for Cindy's Birthday

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge #133 - To Die For

Good Morning Blogland! We survived another Monday and have made it to Tuesday.
That means it's time for another fun challenge over at Sassy Cheryl's and it's "To Die For"!! (Lol)
This week's challenge theme was the clever idea of our crafty & Sassy DT member Dawn. She wants to see some die cuts on all those beautiful entries. There are so many die cuts out there and I can't wait to see which ones you guys choose.
I chose a couple die cuts by Tim Holtz for my card this week. I paired them with Sassy Sally Clowns Around. Isn't she adorable?!?! I knew I just had to have her when I saw her. Cheryl also has another clown called Momma's Little Clown. He is just as sweet as Sally.
Thanks so much for joining us in last week's sketch challenge. All the entries were beautiful.

I made this card for my Best Friend of 17 years. Her name is Cindy (a.k.a. Cindy Lou) and her Birthday was Monday. So, everyone join me in wishing Cindy a HaPpY BiRtHdAy!!

Happy Cake Day Samantha!

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge #132 - A Sketch

This week's challenge theme at Sassy Cheryl's is a fabulous sketch made by our crafty DT member, Dawn
I just love following a sketch and I don't know why I don't do it more often. I chose to use Avery Celebrates with Cake for my image this week. It was my Niece Samantha's 9th Birthday yesterday and this is the card I made for her. She is such a sweetie just like little Avery.  I have used this image before and realized after I was finished that I just can't help using my crimper on kraft paper with with it. Lol

Dawn has made it really fun and easy to play along this week. We sure hope to see more of your beautiful creations this week. Thanks to all you crafty people who joined us in last weeks Got the Blues? challenge.
Just follow the sketch below and get creative!!!

Little Boy Blue

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge #131- Got The Blues?

Good Tuesday Morning to you all! I hope you are all well rested and ready for the day. I actually had TWO days off this weekend because of the Labor Day weekend here in The States. WooHoo!! I managed to get my card done with a few hours to spare. I had such a fun time working with Noah and Patches.
I chose this week's challenge over at Sassy Cheryl's and it is all about BLUE! I have to confess that I peeked in the folder and saw my Sassy Sister's cards already and you are in for a treat!! Our Sassy boss lady has been on one heck of a creative streak lately and has really given us some amazing images to play with. Hop on over and check them out HERE

I made this card for my Nephew Jonathan (aka: Finn). He had knee surgery last week and is doing well but still has a way to go in his recovery. I know it's going to be soooo hard for him not to be "on the go".  He is always so full of energy and is ALL BOY! I love you Finny and hope you have a speedy recovery. Sending you big bear (((( hugs)))).

Thanks so much to all of you who played in last week's Back 2 School challenge. We sure hope to see you all again this week. Get those BLUES out and get crafty!!!

I'm here to remind you that it's time for another fun challenge at Sassy Cheryl's.  I am the hostess this week and I have chosen the theme Back To School. We started back on Wednesday so our Summer routine has changed and we are trying to adjust. Maybe we will adapt sometime before Christmas. Lol
I chose Jeni Hates School for my image this week. Don't you just love the expression on her face?
Poor Jeni, she misses Summer on the beach in her flip-flops... *sigh*

It was so great to see so many of you in last weeks Birthday Challenge. Hope to see you in our Back to School gallery as well. Good luck in the drawing and Happy Crafting Y'all!!

Thursday also means it's time for another Sassy Cheryl's Show Me Challenge!! I wasn't sure what I was going to show you today until I came home to find a surprise waiting for me. My SWEET Hubby made me a shabby chic jewelry hanger for my wall. You would not believe the mess my "bling" is in right now and will be so glad to finally have a nice place to call home.

I have also been coloring a bit in the evenings. I couldn't help myself...Cheryl has some of the most adorable new images in her shop. This lady is on a BIG creative roll!!! Click HERE and check them out.
Here are 3 of Cheryl's new cuties and a Teddy Bo I have had FOREVER and just had the urge to color. Can you tell I'm in the mood for Fall???

I'm not sure who this one is for but I have plenty of fellow Mouseketeers  I can save her for.

I hope you all can join us this week. Pick out your favorite colors and hop on in.

I think I am going to be the sweetest, coolest, hippest, bestest Grandma ever!! Doesn't every Grandma to be think that? Lol
That's my big news and pretty much what I have been up to lately.

Now, link up to the Sassy Cheryl's Show Me Challenge and show us what you have been up to this week. It's not too late and if you don't make it in tonight, there will be another one starting tomorrow. Lol

You Make Fun Times Funner

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge #127 - Just for Him

Good Morning Blogland! Hope you all survived Monday.
Mine prove to be a little crazy most of the time, so hopefully I made it through too. Lol
Tuesday means it's time for another fun, fabulous challenge over at Sassy Cheryl's. Crafty Jackie is our hostess again this week and she has picked the theme "Just for Him". I had my image for this week picked out for over a month now and ALMOST changed my mind when I saw Cheryl's new Noah's Tire Swing image. (You gotta go check out her new cuties!!!)  As you can see I chose to stick with Momma's Little Clown with an addition of Bella's Flower. The Ticket Booth is a digital image from Make It Crafty. I can't wait to see what you all come up with this week. Have fun and happy crafting y'all!

I had fun making this little scene for another one of my "LITTLE MONSTERS" for their B-day. I always mention them but I have never shown you a picture of them. It just so happens that I FINALLY have a picture of them all together, so I thought I would share it with you.

Alex, Brady, Colby, Austin & Ethan
Can you believe all my friends had stinky boys!?!?  They are mean and stinky but they are sweet as sugar sometimes too, and that TOTALLY makes up for it. I love you crazy boys!!!

You Make Life Sweet

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge #126 - Pretty Papers

Good morning all you Sassy Crafters! Its time for another fun challenge at Sassy Cheryl's!
This weeks challenge theme was chosen by our resident Irish Lass Jackie. She is feeding my paper addiction with the theme Pretty Papers. Oh how I love pretty papers!!! The hard part was choosing WHICH pretty papers to use. This week I started with the image. I was scrolling through my EVER EXPANDING Sassy Cheryl's digi folder and this little cutie caught my eye. (maybe it's because I was hungry - Lol)

I just loooove those long legs and knobby knees!
Get ready to grab your favorite pretty papers and join us this week.
Happy Crafting Y'all!!

Bad Blogger Alert and Some Fun

Can you all hear the "Bad Blogger Siren" blaring? I have been such a bad blogger since May and I
would like to say that it isn't because I want to be. I miss stopping by and seeing you every day over my
morning coffee. Some of you may know that I had to find a new job. Well...my new job is a bit more time
consuming than my last. Quite frankly, it's cutting into my crafting time and it really STINKS.
Hopefully things will slow up a bit and get back to normal soon.

I know it's not Thursday, but it is time for another SHOW ME THURSDAY over at Sassy Cheryl's. I have a few pics to share from this past week and a little giggle for you.

This first pick is a little tag to go in my VERY FIRST Etsy sale customer's envelope. Yep, I finally sold a card!! Isn't that exciting?!?! My friend Kim over at Oak Pond Creations drew me this adorable little Daisy Flip-Flop image. Don't you love it? Thanks Kim...YOU ROCK!!

This next pic is of my cutie patootie niece Shauna, coloring Sassy Cheryl's new Jeni's Ladybug image.
She saw me coloring mine and she had to color one too. Because "you're s'posed to share Jeni!"
Seriously...that's what she told me.( Lol)  She's a little mess, but I love her.

Okay, here's where the "giggle" comes in.
I was minding my own business, sitting at my craft desk. I realized I hadn't unpacked my tape runner from our Tuesday night card club. It was in my craft tote behind my chair so I twisted around to grab my bag and the chair and I fell right over!! Needless to say, I DO NOT fall gracefully anymore. Lol
After a big thud and a laughing fit (and much ridicule from my family) I got back up, dusted myself off and went back to what I was doing. Later that evening when I was getting ready for bed I found this on my craft chair.
My dear Hubby took my bathrobe tie and wrapped it around my seat!!!! REALLY, was that necessary?!?

Although I was sore for a couple days and still have the bruised to boot,
I'm a rebel and REFUSE to use it!!! So far I am accident free. Lol
