Just for You...

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge #103 - No Embossing

It's Tuesday and that means it's time for another fun challenge at Sassy Cheryl's
This weeks theme is No Embossing! I know, I know...embossing is fun but it is a definite no-no in this week's challenge. You are just going to have to get creative in other ways.
Have you been to the Sassy Cheryl's shop lately??? Cheryl's new images are just darling!! (aren't they always?) This little cutie pie I used today is called Sassy Sally Sits in Wonder. I have been in a yellow mood lately so I gave her a little yellow t-shirt, yellow satin bow and yellow checked paper with just a splash of red to make her pop. The red shoes are for Ann :)
Don't forget...Cheryl has changes her prize from a $5.00 gift certificate to 2 free images!
Hope you come join us in the challenge. Good Luck to those who do and....
Happy Crafting Y'all!!

Turtlely Wonderful Birthday

Oh Herbert...you're so cute!!

How adorable is this little turtle named Herbert from Karen's Doodles!?! I have had him printed for quite some time and found him in my box of printed images. I always print 4 on a page so I don't waste paper. Then I put the extras in a box for later. He just jumped right out at me!!! I was finding the image in Karen's store so I could link to it in my post and found out that they have a "Celebrate" challenge going on right now. See, this little guy was just MEANT to be on my card today.

You are My Sunshine

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge #102 - No designer papers

Happy Valentine's Day my blog land friends! I'm sending out lots of love to you today!
It's time for another challenge at Sassy Cheryl's and Cathy is our hostess with the mostest. She has asked us NOT to use ANY designer paper!!! *** Gasp! *** This was a particularly HARD challenge for me. You see, I have a paper problem!! I see pretty papers and I just have to have them. I could probably make cards for a few years and not run out. I really was last minute making this one. The idea didn't hit me until Saturday when I was visiting my Hubby at work. He was helping a customer so I was wandering around the store being nosy and curious. I saw a big wall with lots of pretty colors and it just sucked me in. It was almost like the paper racks at the craft store!! Lol  I started picking up the sample cards they have and that's when it hit me. So, here ya go! My NO designer paper card. The paint sample doesn't count, right????

Cheryl has decided to change the weekly prize from a $5 gift certificate to 2 free images!!!
I hope you decide to play in this weeks challenge with us.
Thanks to all last weeks participants, your cards were all so lovely.
Happy Crafting Y'all!!

Thinking of You

We all know how hard it is to lose one of our furry Family members, right? Well, one of our fellow bloggers lost her beloved kitty last week and her friend Stacey put together a little blog hop to help cheer her up. What a fantastic friend!! You all may know Dorcas. She is such a talented lady. Her blog is called Dorcas Designs. She is really feeling down and blue right now and we all just wanted to let her know we were thinking of her.
I know Dorcas loves her little duckies so much! She actually has them shipped in! So, I chose this cute little image from the Doodle Pantry. His name is Harold and I was sure he would make Dorcas smile.

If you are following the hop you should have come here from Uli's blog
Your next stop is Gwen's blog
If you are here just to visit little old me, you can start at the beginning HERE at Stacey's blog.
I'm sure there are some wonderful cards to be seen....Enjoy.

Big (((hugs))) to you Dorcas!

Amor

Our hostess with the mostest this week is the lovely & talented Ann. She wants us to "feel the love" and make a Valentine. I love making Valentines!!  I remember in grade school we always made Valentines folders for the back of our desks, then all the kids would bring in Valentines and put them in the folder pockets. It was always such a fun day. I would take them home and look at them over and over.

I didn't make a Valentine to give away. I made the center section of a Valentine's Day banner for my house! I am going to make 2 more and put one on each side. I had fun playing with my Cricut again this week.

Here is a close up of the pennant.

Here is another shot of the middle pennant and dividing hearts and tulle.

Last week was the 100th challenge at Sassy Cheryl's and Cheryl had some wonderful prizes up for grabs so I decided to do the same. I had 23 wonderful comments and I have asked Hubby to pick  a random number between 1-23. The lucky number is......
4 - Dawn, that's you my Sassy friend!!
Your little crafty package will be on the way.

I hope you all enjoy the challenge this week. Can't wait to see your Valentine creations.
Happy Crafting Y'all!!

I am also entering this into the following challenges:

Paper: Recollections - Red & Pink Hearts
Accessories: Cricut - Plantin Schoolbook and Rock Princess cartridges, Spellbinder - Scalloped Heart, Tim Holtz - Adage Tickets, MS - Eyelet lace scallop punch, Royal Lace - white heart doily

Enjoy every moment..

Fancy Folds!!
That's the theme our amazing crafty hostess, Joyce chose for this months Just Inklined blog hop.
You should have hopped here from her blog. If not, hop on over and see what she has created for us. I am sure you don't want to miss it.

I chose to make a Double Dutch Fold card. I haven't made one in a long time.
There is a fabulous & easy tutorial by Patty Bombyk HERE in the Splitcoast Stampers resource section.
I tweaked the measurements on mine because I wanted my card to be a little bigger, but it is basically the same. I chose a new Just Inklined image called "Serenity". Isn't it beautiful? It looks like one of my favorite Summer time spots. Can't you just see yourself sitting there? What would be in your pitcher?? Lol

Here is a pic with the bottom gate fold part open. The top fold is still closed.

Next you are going to be hopping over to our super talented boss lady Jak's blog. She is sure to have some fabulous eye candy for you. She never disappoints.

Make sure to visit all the blogs on the hop, there are 2 hidden prizes to be won!
Enjoy the hop!!

Here is the order of the hop:
