Thinking of Autumn

Good Morning!! It's finally Friday guys! We made it!!
It's time for another fun Totally Papercrafts Challenge. This week the theme is brought to us by the lovely Sue over at Scoopy's Stuff. She has picked the theme Autumn. I think I may have mentioned that I love Autumn, so this challenge was right up my alley.
I have this cutie Sprout by Mo Manning colored for quite a while. Her colors fell right into my card. I had another image all ready to go but found her at the last minute. She just seemed to fit. Don't you love it when a plan comes together?

Our sponsors this week are Simon Says Stamp and Stamp Fairy.

Come on my and join in on the fun at Totally Papercrafts. Looking forward to seeing your entries. Have a lovely weekend and Happy Crafting!!!

I'm here to share another card I made using one of Mabelle's adorable images from Whimsy and Stars. This cutie is called Balloon Girl and you can find her HERE. I know I always seem to need Birthday cards and this image comes in soooo handy. I colored her with my Copics and went back and high lighted and shaded with my Prisma pencils. I am trying to use my pencils more so they don't feel so neglected and so I can get better at using them. Practice, practice, practice. Lol (At least that's what I tell the Hubby)
I bought a Derwent battery powered sharpener the other day and I love the way it sharpens my pencils. The tip is sharp but it doesn't eat up a lot of the pencil leaving the inside exposed and weak. I highly recommend it. It was $20.00 but I used my 50% off coupon so that helped a bit.

Only 2 more days left to get in on my Blog Candy!!!
Just click the link on my side bar to take you to the post.
Good Luck and Happy Crafting!

I'm Late!!

Hi everyone...Happy Sunday! I finally got back in my craft room this afternoon and managed to make some cards. This one seems to be the story of my life lately. Between work and feeling crappy I have been in reverse for about a week and a half. BooHoo...enough whining!
I just love the Wonderland set from Just Inklined!! I used the White Rabbit on this card. Doesn't he look so dignified? Love him!! The mushrooms are not part of the digi, it is a freebie I got from Create With TLC. Just popping in quick, hope you all enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Don't miss a chance to win my Blog Candy!! A link to the post is on my side bar and runs until Oct. 1st. Good Luck!

Blog Candy! Yay!

I have finally reached 100 followers...WooHoo!!!
I have been in bloggy land for a year and a half and when I started this crazy blog I told myself I would give away some blog candy every time I reached 100 more followers. (high hopes)
I am so thankful for all your kind comments and the inspiration you all give to me. When I am just having a CRAPTASTIC day I can always come here for some love. I haven't been around blog hopping the past few weeks as much as I like to. Work has been crazy busy (that's usually when I do my hopping....sssshhhhh, don't tell) and by the time I get home at night I am just pooped. Hopefully we will slack off soon and I can come see you all more often.
So....all you have to do to win my blog candy is be a follower and leave me a comment. If you want to spread the word and put me on your side bar that would be great too.
This will run from 9/21/2011 until 10/01/2011, then I will randomly pick a winner from all my comments. GOOD LUCK!!!

I HAVE A WINNER!!!!

The winner of the Ford digi pack I used in the Just Inklined Wacky Wheelz blog hop is.....

Congratulations Sally!!
Please contact me and give me your e-mail address and we will get that right to you.

Dance like no one is looking...

Sassy Jackie is the hostess with the mostest again this week and she wants to see some FLOWERS! Time to get girly ladies!!
This little darling is so carefree!!! I have wanted to color her since I first found Cheryl's images, but I'm one of those people who has to "feel" it before I can make it. It's kind of annoying actually. If you walked up and handed me an image and said, "Here...make something" I would probably go into panic mode. (Lol) When I was flipping through my "Sassy Folder" it hit me and that was it. I'm so glad I finally got to use her.
Want to win a $5 Sassy Cheryl's gift certificate??? Open up YOUR "Sassy Folder", grab some flowers and join in. Good luck and Happy Crafting!!!

Wishing you joy

Happy Friday Everyone!!!
It's time for another challenge at Totally Papercrafts. The talented Vicky picked the theme of "Clean and Simple" for us this week. I struggle with "clean & simple", I just have the urge to keep adding STUFF. Here's what I came up with.

I have to tell you that I watched a tutorial by my Just Inklined boss lady, Jak Heath on how to tie a double bow... WITH YOUR FINGERS!!! You gotta check it out HERE. If I can do this, you can too. Thanks Jak!!

Boo!

Happy Wednesday bloggy friends! We have made it half way through the week. Yay!

I am here to share another cutie pie from Whimsy and Stars this morning. This is another one of Mabelle's new Fall images, isn't she adorable? If you go check out Whimsy ans Stars Studio today Mabelle has some of the DT's cards up for inspiration. There is sure to be some great crafty creations to ogle at.

I watched a tutorial by a fellow bloggy buddy Claudia over at Pretty Pressings the other day about shading. This is my first attempt at shading with Prisma pencils and gamisol. I did just a little this time. Maybe as I keep practicing, I will go a little farther. I usually use distress inks, but I wanted to give this a shot. If you haven't seen Claudia's cards, you MUST stop over and take a look at her blog. You will NOT be disappointed. Her coloring is AMAZING!

Cappuccino Anyone?

Another Tuesday is upon us. That means it's time for another Sassy Cheryl challenge!! Yay!!!!
I was just glad to see Monday come and go, what a day!!
Crafty Jackie is the hostess with the mostest this week and she must be hungry because she wants us to use a Sassy Cheryl image with food .

I never realized how many of Cheryl's images had food in them...Lol. You all know I am a coffee junkie so I had to use this happy go lucky Cappuccino Snowman. Doesn't he just look like he has had his double shot espresso this morning? Looks to me like he has a little extra pep in his step.
Pick out your favorite Sassy image with food/drink in it and join in the challenge. You could win a gift card to the Sassy Cheryl digi shop!! Good luck and Happy Crafting Y'all!!

Girls Will Be Girls...

Get your motor running because this month's blog hop (or race in this case) at Just Inklined is all about Cars!! Not whimpy, slow, 4 cylinders...we have some souped up muscle cars to show you.

If you came here from Heidy's blog you are in the right place. If not, you might want to start at the beginning ( Jak's blog ) so you don't miss a thing. Make sure you leave a comment along the way to be eligible for this month's prize.

The order of the hop is:
Jak, Tammy, Toni, Karen, Cathy, Heidy, Jeni (me) & Joyce

You all know I struggle with masculine cards (I think I may have mentioned that before). So, when our lovely boss lady Jak e-mailed me my car I was sent spinning into panic mode. I said to myself, "Self, just do what you do best". That's when I knew this was a girls car!!!! (Lol) I work in a service department and know for a fact that girls do love their cars. I think we all even have our dream cars just like the guys do. Mine is a 1967 Ford Mustang, cherry red, tan leather seats, white wall tires, convertible top optional.

Now, speed on over to Joyce's blog and finish this race!!

A Sweet Thank You

This week's challenge theme at Sassy Cheryl's is brought to us again by our very own Sassy Judy! She wants us to make some yummy candy favors. Fun right??

I made this candy bar slider for my friend Kim ( Oak Pond Creations). She was keeping an eye on my furry babies while we were in Atlanta this past weekend. They love their Aunt Kim!

I used a Hershey bar, but you could really use it for any candy bar. I just like the Hershey bar because it is flat and gives you more surface area. Just punch wholes on each side of one end and run your ribbon through. Insert the candy bar and it pushes the ribbon down with it. Tie your bow and it is ready for gifting. As your giftee pulls the ribbon, it slides the candy bar out of the wrapper. Easy peasy!!
I used a cropped version of Cheryl's Sweet Pea image. The whole image is even cuter that her adorable hat. I just wanted to use the butterfly to match the butterfly paper I picked.
This weeks challenge is sure to be a fun one. I hope to see your cards on the challenge blog. Just make sure you use a Sassy Cheryl image. Gook luck and Happy Crafting!

Strawberry Fields

Totally Papercrafts Challenge #82 - Not A Card!

This weeks hostess is the sweet and talented Sarah, The Stressed Stamper. She has challenged us to make anything BUT a card. I have been wanting to make one of these corner book marks for a while so I figured now would be a perfect time to try.

I used this sweet little image by Mo Manning, Strawberry Girl. I wish I could have used the whole thing but sometimes there just isn't enough room. Lol

Our very generous sponsors this week are:

with a £10 voucher to spend in store (p+p not included)

AND...

with 5 digital images of the winner's choice.

We sure hope to see your entries in the challenge post this week.

Good luck and happy crafting!

Too Cute to Spook!

I have some exciting news for you today. Mabelle at Whimsy and Stars is releasing new digis on Sept. 6th and boy are they CUTE!!! You can catch a sneak peek at Whimsy and Stars Studio.

I have been asked to join the DT and just couldn't say no. This is my first card and I am looking forward to making many more. Thanks Mabelle, for having me.

This adorable little witch is called Halloween Girl. My Mom and I designed this card for our Tuesday card class a couple weeks ago. I originally used different papers but changed them out for the sneak peek. I found the tutorial for this center fold step card HERE. I love the dimension you get from the step cards, great for displaying on Holidays and Birthdays.
