Silver Lining

Some of you who have visited my blog know that my Hubby bought a 1976 Airstream Tradewind a few months ago. He is in the process of renovating it and is CONSUMED! We have officially named it "The Silver Lining" but I refer to it as "The Other Woman". Lol
When I saw this image from Saturated Canary, I just HAD to have it. Good timing too...
Today is our 19th Wedding Anniversary! Perfect for his card this year.
Happy Anniversary Honey!
Krista is having a Anything Goes challenge so I decided to enter this one.

Let It Snow

This week's challenge is hosted by Sassy Pat at Cards 2 Cherish and she wants to see some Winter creations! It definitely doesn't feel like Winter here in SC. We have had very few cold days. The weather feels more like Spring. Cool in the mornings and in the 70's and 80's in the afternoon. It's kind of hard to get in the Christmas spirit when you can't wear sweaters and scarves. maybe it will get colder closer to Christmas.
I chose Cheryl's Flat Bottom Snowy for my card this week. Wishful thinking, huh?? Lol
Last week's participation was through the roof!!! We were so glad to have each and every one of you. Your entries were beautiful and I hope you join us again for this week's challenge.
Happy Crafting Ladies!!!

Cali...my crazy kitty!

(Sorry this pic is so bad, I took it with my cell phone)

This is my CRAZY kitty, Cali! I really didn't have anything to show for Sassy Cheryl's show me Thursday this week until last night. I was coloring and watching T.V. when Cali decided she wanted in on the action. She usually only does this with my Prisma's (I think she likes the smell) but for some reason she was determined to get one of my Copics out of their box. She just wants to bat it around all over the floor. She's so CRAZY!
Stop on over and show Cheryl what you have been doing this week.

Results and a Sassy Trick

Happy Tuesday! If you had a Monday like mine, I know you are glad to get it behind you. If you had a good Monday then I'm just jealous.
If you were here last week for the "Stump The Boss" challenge and were playing along....
this is MY REAL card from last week. Did you guess correctly? Cheryl's results and all the other DT's cards will be posted in the challenge blog HERE. How do you think Cheryl did?
Now on to this weeks challenge......

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge #91 - Anything Goes
This is one of Cheryl's new winter images! I just love Sassy Sally...she is always up to something! I knew when I saw this trickster that I had to have her. That Snowman does not look too pleased. Like they say..."Girls just wanna have fun".

Thanks A Latte'

Happy Friday blog land peeps!!!

Friday means another fabulous Totally Papercrafts Challenge!
Our generous sponsors this week are Crafty Emma's Store & Amber Ink .
Mel is our DT hostess this week and she has chosen a Black & White theme. Boy was this a hard one. I started to get busy on my card and realized I really don't have many black & white papers. It was slim pickings!!! I managed to dig a few out of my scrap box and this is what I came up with.

This little cutie is a Whimsy and Stars digi called Coffee Girl . Just look at that big ole cup of java!!! What a way to start the day, she sure looks peppy to me. Lol
I am also entering this card into the

Whimsy and Stars'
very first Gratitude Blog Hop!

You can join in too HERE.

I used this weeks sketch at Splitcoast Stampers.

A fun and easy gift bag...

This is just a cute little gift bag I made for a card club I go to every other Tuesday.
The base of this bag is so easy to whip up. They are great to have on hand for an unexpected or almost forgotten occasion. It is also a perfect size to fit a set of 5 1/2 X 5 1/2 cards.

The end measurements are 6" wide x 4 1/2" high and 3" deep.
All you need is a 12 x 12 piece of card stock.
Score from one side at 3" and 9" (all the way across).
Turn paper and score from other side at 4 1/2 & 7 1/2 (all the way across).
Snip the scored lines in the middle on opposite sides and fold into itself.
Then just decorate...
Easy Peasy!!!

This little Apple Tree is a digi from Just Inklined. I love it because it is so versatile, you can really use it for any season. Just color it up a little differently.

Check out one of my old Sassy Sistahs, Jodi's blog for directions.

I would REALLY love the claim the card below as MINE, but alas...it belongs to one of my Sassy Sistahs!! Isn't it FABULOUS!?!?!
Next week we will all post our REAL cards to see how well Cheryl did.
Maybe you all would like to write down your guesses and see how well you do too.

So the challenge this week is ANYTHING GOES!! No excuses this week!!
Jump on in and join us in the Sassy Cheryl's Challenge for your chance to win a gift certificate to Cheryl's fabulous SHOP. She has some of the cutest images in there just waiting for you to color.

Happy Veteran's Day!!

Totally Papercrafts Challenge #92 - Victorian

It's Victoria's turn to host our challenge at Totally Papercrafts so it's fitting that she has chosen the theme....Victorian. I do have to say that this is a little outside my comfort zone. So, this was definitely a challenge for me. I guess it's good to reach outside your box sometimes. I sure had fun creating this card and I have to say that I am pretty pleased.
It is Veteran's Day, formerly known as Armistice Day here in The United States. I wanted to make a patriotic themed card to show love and support for all our Veterans and to give thanks to them for their sacrifice.
God Bless You All!!

I don't usually show the inside of my cards, but sometimes I think I like it more than others. (Lol) This is one of those times so I am sharing.

Friend for Dinner...

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge #89 - Embossing

Welcome to another Sassy Cheryl's Challenge!! Our very Sassy & Super Talented Peggy is our hostess with the mostest and she wants us to emboss on our projects. (wet or dry, your choice)
I chose to dry emboss with one of my Argyle Cuttlebug folder. I couldn't believe how well it went with the background DP. I hope I haven't offended anyone with my sentiment. Lol That was my Daughter Savannah's brain storm. So, all you animal lovers...sorry. I do love my Thanksgiving turkey!!! Yummy!! I am getting hungry just thinking about it. I am the only one in my house who really likes turkey & stuffing so I only get it when Mommy makes it, and boy is it a treat!!

EXCITING NEWS!!!
For the remainder of November's challenges (8th, 15th, 22nd and 29th)
we'll be checking out all of the entries and selecting one lucky person
who will be our guest designer for the month of December.

Get your BEST crafting ideas going and show us what you've got!!

A Realization....

This weekend I came to the realization that I was just NOT meant to use a sewing machine!!! (hence, the label "Stupid Sewing Machine") I took Home Economics in Middle school and I remember sewing a pillow, but I think I may need a refresher course. I have 2 machines now, a Kennmore my Mom gave me and this little Singer. I can't thread the bobbin on one and can't keep the thread from breaking on the other. *sigh* I struggle with this little PURPLE MONSTER for a couple hours and came very close to throwing it in the trash. Instead, I put the little PURPLE MONSTER under my desk and hand sewed the rest of my card.
My space is a little messy right now so enjoy the giggles and head shaking while you can. I intend to clean it up AGAIN this week. Lol

Giddy-Up and Go!

It's the first Monday of the month and that means it's time for another FANTASTIC
Just Inklined Blog Hop!!!
You should have arrived here from our talented Joyce's Blog.
Heidy is our hostess and she wants us to make something that can be given as a gift FOR CHRISTMAS!!!!! I stressed the Christmas part because you will soon see that I totally over looked that part of the theme. I am afraid I will be getting a "needs improvement" on following directions. I know my kids will laugh when they read this because I always stress this point on test days. "Always read the directions thoroughly".
My gift will be given to a poor soul who is feeling poorly on Christmas. Lol

I love the Holidays and cooler weather, but that always means one thing.....
The cold and flu season is upon us and there are a lot of sickies out there. Believe me, we have had our share in my house. I made this little gift bag to put hot tea bags, cough drops, peppermints, tissues, medicine or anything really to help someone feel better when they are feeling a little under the weather. They are so handy to have around for loved ones.

The image I used is called Gee Up Neddy. You can find it in the NEW SHOP at Just Inklined . HERE
From here you are going to want to head on over to our fearless leader Jak's blog. I am sure she has something spectacular to share with you. I am also sure that it will also be Christmas themed. She is very good at following directions.
Thanks so much for joining us. Hope you go away with a little inspiration. Happy Crafting!!!

Gratitude

The very Crafty Caroline has picked the theme this week at Totally Papercrafts and she wants us to use stitching on our creations. ( real or faux ) My Mom gave me a sewing machine and we are working on getting everything "right" so this may be the last time I have to hand stitch a card!!! WooHoo! It sure would be nice to zip right around instead of slowly making my way. Lol
I just wasn't ready to put away my orange and black yet so I decided to use it one last time. I paired up some floral print DP and these adorable Pilgrims from Whimsy and Stars. Mabelle sure has some cuties for the Holidays. She is also having a BUY 2 GET ONE FREE sale until Dec. 10th. So, pop on over to her shop and take advantage of this sale while you can.

We have some new DT members to introduce to you today!!!

We hope you will take the time to visit their blogs and say hello to them.

We also have a Spotlight Guest Designer ...

and we would like you to say Hello to Lisa,

who will be filling the Spotlight position until the New Year.

You're "Beary" sweet...

This week's challenge theme at Sassy Cheryl's was chosen by our very own Pat from Cards2Cherish. She wants us to make a card with an attitude of gratitude!! Thank you cards are one of those things you should ALWAYS have around. NEVER, EVER let kindness go unnoticed!! I am a big believer in "Thank You". Kindness is contagious and saying thank you is one of the best ways to keep it going. So pass it on!!

I used this new cutie patootie for my card this week. This is Noah and his teddy Patches. Aren't they too precious for words??? If you haven't been to Sassy Cheryl's shop to meet Noah, Pretty Polly, Sassy Sally and Lucy Lou....you need to!! They are all so adorable and they each have their own personalities.
Hope you can come by and join us in the challenge this week. Remember, you no longer have to use a Sassy Cheryl's image to participate, you just have twice the chance to win if you do.
