Happy Birthday Daddy!!

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge #158 - Fancy Edges, Die Cuts and Punches

Good Tuesday morning to you all!! It's time for me to share another Sassy Cheryl's Challenge card.
This week's challenge is brought to you by our lovely and talented Judy.  She has chosen the theme Fancy Edges, Die Cuts and Punches. Sounds like a pass to have a good time to me. These are the things that make a card grab your attention. I chose Cheryl's cutie, "Mama's Little Clown" for my card this week. I had some coloring time with my Mom and crafty friends, Kim of Oak Pond Creations  and Linda of Turtle in the Sand on Saturday. This is one of the images I colored. We had such a great time. We need to do that a little more frequently girls!! I gave this card to my Daddy for his Birthday. He just celebrated his 69th Birthday. Happy Birthday Daddy, you're the best!

I hope you can take some time this week and play along in the challenge. You know you want to, it's gonna be lots of  fun! Looking forward to seeing your creations.
Happy CraftingY'all!!

Sorry...I'm Late

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge #141 - Belated Birthday

Good Morning Blogland peeps! It's Tuesday and time for a new challenge over at Sassy Cheryl's. I have the honor of choosing this week's theme and I decided on Belated Birthday. I know we all try to be on top of things and never forget a Birthday, but be honest, isn't there always one that sneaks by us?
That's what this week's challenge is all about.
I have to admit that I was flying by the seat of my pants on this one guys. My printer (to put it nicely) has bit the dust. These are NOT the words I used this weekend when I NEEDED it for a few things. I had a few cross words with it, hit it, swore at it, talked sweet to it and then paid my last respects. (insert trumpet playing Taps here)  My card feels naked without a sentiment and I just didn't have a rubber stamp that quite fit. I turned my crafty space upside down looking for ANYTHING I could use and had almost given up hope when I came across some very old rub on words. I cut those things apart like I was making a ransom note!! Thank goodness I am a pack rat. Lol
I picked Cheryl's image, Noah's Tire Swing for my card this week. Don't you just love that sweet face peeking out from behind his tire swing? Can't be mad at him, right? That's what I am hoping for anyway.

Here is the inside with some more creative ransom note style lettering.
That "L" was actually a cursive "f". Pretty good huh? lol
It's amazing the ideas that can come from desperation.

It was so great to see so many of you in our first week back to using ONLY Sassy Cheryl images.
Just goes to show you how much Cheryl's characters are adored.  We look forward to seeing you all again this week and invite even more of you to play along. The more the merrier!!

Its A Guy Thing

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge #140 - Masculine

Good Morning and Happy Tuesday! It's Election day here in The United States!! I won't go
on a long political rant but I will be exercising my right to vote tonight after I get off work and
I hope you all will be doing the same.

This weeks challenge over at Sassy Cheryl's is all about the fellas. Dawn is our Sassy hostess with the mostest and she wants to see some cards made just for guys or about guys.  I know I seen to get in a girly fru-fru rut sometimes and go to find a guy card in my stash and can't find one.  So, this is a perfect time to get one done and ready. I had the most fun coloring this cute little boy! This is Noah  is All Ears. Isn't he darling?!? He is one of my favorite Sassy Cheryl images at the moment. I say "at the moment" because my favorite always seems to change from week to week. Lol

Don't forget that starting this week you MUST USE A SASSY CHERYL'S IMAGE to enter the challenge!
We would love for you to join us and play along.

Little Boy Blue

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge #131- Got The Blues?

Good Tuesday Morning to you all! I hope you are all well rested and ready for the day. I actually had TWO days off this weekend because of the Labor Day weekend here in The States. WooHoo!! I managed to get my card done with a few hours to spare. I had such a fun time working with Noah and Patches.
I chose this week's challenge over at Sassy Cheryl's and it is all about BLUE! I have to confess that I peeked in the folder and saw my Sassy Sister's cards already and you are in for a treat!! Our Sassy boss lady has been on one heck of a creative streak lately and has really given us some amazing images to play with. Hop on over and check them out HERE

I made this card for my Nephew Jonathan (aka: Finn). He had knee surgery last week and is doing well but still has a way to go in his recovery. I know it's going to be soooo hard for him not to be "on the go".  He is always so full of energy and is ALL BOY! I love you Finny and hope you have a speedy recovery. Sending you big bear (((( hugs)))).

Thanks so much to all of you who played in last week's Back 2 School challenge. We sure hope to see you all again this week. Get those BLUES out and get crafty!!!

You Make Fun Times Funner

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge #127 - Just for Him

Good Morning Blogland! Hope you all survived Monday.
Mine prove to be a little crazy most of the time, so hopefully I made it through too. Lol
Tuesday means it's time for another fun, fabulous challenge over at Sassy Cheryl's. Crafty Jackie is our hostess again this week and she has picked the theme "Just for Him". I had my image for this week picked out for over a month now and ALMOST changed my mind when I saw Cheryl's new Noah's Tire Swing image. (You gotta go check out her new cuties!!!)  As you can see I chose to stick with Momma's Little Clown with an addition of Bella's Flower. The Ticket Booth is a digital image from Make It Crafty. I can't wait to see what you all come up with this week. Have fun and happy crafting y'all!

I had fun making this little scene for another one of my "LITTLE MONSTERS" for their B-day. I always mention them but I have never shown you a picture of them. It just so happens that I FINALLY have a picture of them all together, so I thought I would share it with you.

Alex, Brady, Colby, Austin & Ethan
Can you believe all my friends had stinky boys!?!?  They are mean and stinky but they are sweet as sugar sometimes too, and that TOTALLY makes up for it. I love you crazy boys!!!

Shiver Me Timbers...

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge #119 - Happy Birthday

Happy Tuesday morning Blog Land friends!
I have the honor of hostessing the challenge this week at Sassy Cheryl's and I have chosen the
theme Happy Birthday. You can never have too many Birthday cards lying around. You never know when you will need one. I made this one with a certain little someone in mind. I just love the way Noah is peeking over the edge of the tub. Doesn't he look like he's up to something??? Just like a certain little red head I know, always looking for mischief. Lol
Cheryl has some adorable new Birthday images in her shop just in time for this challenge.
Stop by and check them out! Hope you can decide on a image and join us.

I thought Noah had been in the bath playing for a while and the water was starting to get a little chilly. That's what made me think of "shiver". Lol
Here is the sentiment I made for Noah. I would love to share it with you. Just right click on the image and save. I just ask that if you use it, tell people where you got it.

Scout's Honor

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge #117 - A Sketch

Good Morning Blog Land!
It's Tuesday AND challenge day over at Sassy Cheryl's.

Our hostess with the mostest is our own crafty Irish Lass...Jackie!!! She has put together a SUPER FUN sketch and I just loved following it. I used my "go to guy" Noah for this little boy's card. I just think he is the cutest! I picked up this paper a few months ago just to use with him. I even added a little moss from my own Oak tree to bring the great outdoors to the card.
Come play along with us and have some fun!! All you have to do is follow Jackie's sketch below.
Easy peasy lemon squeezy...right???
Can't wait to see what you all come up with!

I was playing with my sentiments again and thought I would share this one with you all. All you have to do is right click on the image and save it to your computer. If you use it, just tell everyone where you got it.

A hug FUR you!

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge #99 - Light blue & brown

Happy Tuesday everyone! It's time for another fun Sassy Cheryl's challenge!
This week I am lucky enough to be the hostess with the mostest.
I chose the colors Light Brown and Blue as the theme.
Just in case you noticed.... my FABULOUS new water mark was made for me by my Crafty Sassy Sister Dawn. I just LOVE it!! Don't you think it fits me perfectly??? Thanks so much Dawn (((hugs)))

I chose Cheryl's adorable Noah & Patches for my card because I needed to make a Birthday card for my Nephew Jonathan. He and I share the same Birthday week so I always tease him and say he was my present. (Lol)  I know...I know...he was HIS Mom's present.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY FINN! I love you bunches!

I want to remind you that next week will be
Sassy Cheryl's 100th Challenge!!!!
We will have a fun challenge for you and the opportunity to win some fabulous prizes. So make sure to come back and play along with us. I also wanted to say WOW to all of you who entered the challenge last week. I think a lot of you were REALLY ready for the Bright & Cheery challenge. Thanks so much for sharing your beautiful cards with us. Hope to see you again this week

You're "Beary" sweet...

This week's challenge theme at Sassy Cheryl's was chosen by our very own Pat from Cards2Cherish. She wants us to make a card with an attitude of gratitude!! Thank you cards are one of those things you should ALWAYS have around. NEVER, EVER let kindness go unnoticed!! I am a big believer in "Thank You". Kindness is contagious and saying thank you is one of the best ways to keep it going. So pass it on!!

I used this new cutie patootie for my card this week. This is Noah and his teddy Patches. Aren't they too precious for words??? If you haven't been to Sassy Cheryl's shop to meet Noah, Pretty Polly, Sassy Sally and Lucy Lou....you need to!! They are all so adorable and they each have their own personalities.
Hope you can come by and join us in the challenge this week. Remember, you no longer have to use a Sassy Cheryl's image to participate, you just have twice the chance to win if you do.

Oh Poop!... And some exciting news!

Happy Friday Bloggy friends! I get to share some BIG news with you today. Today is my first post for Totally Papercrafts DT. WooHoo!! I was so excited and honored to be asked. So every Friday; just in time for the weekend, I will have a new challenge for you to join in.

The theme this week is "For a Boy" and our sponsor is Charmed Cards & Crafts, a great on line store with a wide variety of products for your paper crafting needs. The prize is two digi bundles of the winners choice.

When I saw this little cutie I knew he had to go into my Mo's Digital Pencil file!! He was too cute not to pass up. I was working on my card and was thinking of putting a button in the bottom left corner and was wishing I had a small roll of toilet paper sticker or button, but alas...no such luck. Then my creative consultant (who chooses to remain nameless) says, "Just make one". Easier said than done right?!? Then proceeds to tell me exactly what to do!! How clever is my hubby...ummm I mean "Creative Consultant". Lol

It's time for me to share another amazing Just Inklined digital stamp with you all. I came across this cutie and had to have him! His name is James Brum and you can find him HERE. I have just the perfect little fella turning 6 to give this to. Boys cards always seem to be challenging for me, which surprises me because I was a Tomboy growing up. I guess age has made me all froo froo.

Sometimes you gotta sell the cow...

to get the magic beans!

I made this card for this week's challenge at Mo's Digital Pencil. The theme is "How Does Your Garden Grow?". I have wanted to color this cutie for a while but haven't really had the inspiration and it hit me today!!! Woo Hoo! The Joy is in the Journey

Happy Birthday Chase!
I made this card for my nephew Chase, he turns 17 today!!
(well...actually tomorrow, it's kinda late here)
He is a big goof ball with a good heart and he is also one heck of a baseball player.
I cant believe how much you've grown. It seems like yesterday when you were two and telling me I looked like Cruella DeVille. (clearly the child needed glasses)
We love you Chase, have a great day!!

"Rawr!" means "I Love You"...

This is the cutest little monster I have ever seen! I fell in love with this image from Just Inklined when I saw it. I have been on the search for the perfect paper to match and I finally found it at a local Scrapbook store called "Scrapbooks By The Sea". I don't have anyone in particular that I made it for so I guess it will go in the box for future use.
The weekend is not coming soon enough!! A bunch of us "crafty girls" are headed to Columbia Saturday for a stamp show. Can't wait. Of course we will have to hit Starbucks & Hobby Lobby too. Hopefully I will have some cool new stuff to show you when we get back.

Swingin' Birthday

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge #26 - Polka Dots

I made this card for my best friend Cindy's oldest boy Colby for his birthday. He turned five last week and he is ALL BOY! Wild, dirty, loud and a little sweet too. I have been blessed to watch him grow. I was there the day he was born and I have loved every minute I have been able to spend with him. Aunt Jeni loves you "Pickle Head"!
Image is Sassy Cheryl's "Indiana Joe".
Papers are Bo Bunny "Block Party Dots" and Core'Dinations "Color Core". I used EK Success paper edge punch and some twine I had in my ribbon box.

Monster Truck Jam

My bestie Cindy came over this weekend and we made some invitations for her son Colby's 5th Birthday party. It was fun crafting with her again. He is lovin' moster trucks right now! We found the image on line (hard to find monster truck digital images). The arrow paper is "American Crafts" Road Trip. To get the results on top we wrapped a piece of card stock with aluminum foil and ran it through the Cuttle Bug in the "Diamond Plate" folder. The checkered flags were made with ribbon cut into 1 1/2 inch strips and wrapped around the toothpick with a little hot glue. It was awesome to see his face when we showed them to him!

Hoppy Birthday!

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge #14

I made this card for one of my Besties Son's Birthday. Brady is such a cute little fella and he is ALL BOY! Much like this Sassy Cheryl digi image.
I used Basic Grey "Giggle" paper, 2 Cuttlebug embossing folders; "Argyle" & "Distressed Stripes", MS Fence punch and misc. button & twine.

I went outside to take a pic of the card by the water garden (trying to be all smart & stuff - thinking "where would a little boy be holding these germy, creepy, crawly things") and the wind kicks up and I almost lost the card to the koi fish and the tadpoles. My big hiney moved so fast I think you all would have been impressed. All that exertion will brobably make me sore tomorrow. LOL
Thanks for stopping by to check me out ~Jeni
