I just wanted to share a card I made with a Saturated Canary image.
I just love the eyes on Krista's images. They just suck you in.

Happy Birthday Daddy!!

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge #158 - Fancy Edges, Die Cuts and Punches

Good Tuesday morning to you all!! It's time for me to share another Sassy Cheryl's Challenge card.
This week's challenge is brought to you by our lovely and talented Judy.  She has chosen the theme Fancy Edges, Die Cuts and Punches. Sounds like a pass to have a good time to me. These are the things that make a card grab your attention. I chose Cheryl's cutie, "Mama's Little Clown" for my card this week. I had some coloring time with my Mom and crafty friends, Kim of Oak Pond Creations  and Linda of Turtle in the Sand on Saturday. This is one of the images I colored. We had such a great time. We need to do that a little more frequently girls!! I gave this card to my Daddy for his Birthday. He just celebrated his 69th Birthday. Happy Birthday Daddy, you're the best!

I hope you can take some time this week and play along in the challenge. You know you want to, it's gonna be lots of  fun! Looking forward to seeing your creations.

You're How Old?!?

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge #150 - Birthday

Have we really almost reached the end of January already????
Well, it's Tuesday regardless and that means it's time for another challenge over at Sassy Cheryl's.
I had the honor of choosing the theme this week. We are going to be celebrating Birthdays!
I was feeling "Sassy" this week and decided to make a card that might get a snicker or gasp when it is opened. I may need it soon, my friends are getting a little older...but not me!

I am sorry that I missed out on last weeks challenge but as some of you may know, I am going to be a Grandma REAL SOON!! We had family in town last weekend for the baby shower and it was kind of hectic. After things calmed down I cleaned my terribly messy craft area and was able to pull together a card for this week. I miss it when I don't have my "Happy Time". Lol
Looking forward to seeing all of your wonderful Birthday creations this week.
Happy Crafting Y'all!!

Have you seen Cheryl's new Blog, Illustrated by Cheryl?  She has some wonderful coloring tutorials and excerpts from her sketch journal. It gives you a chance to see her images in the sketch stage before she makes them into digis and gives you an idea about where she gets her inspiration from.

Check it out!!!

Wow...2013!!

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge #147 - Anything Goes
(use your fave Sassy Cheryl image)

Happy New Year!!
Where has 2012 gone???? I swear, the older I get, the faster time flies.
We are kicking off the New Year with a super fun challenge at Sassy Cheryl's. It's a "Anything Goes" challenge using your favorite Sassy Cheryl image.  I usually pick my image for the week by looking through my image folder. Each week one of Cheryl's cuties talks to me. This week it was her Little Baker image.
Isn't she adorable?!? AND she is in the $1.00 bin in Sassy Cheryl's Shop!!
Last week's Snowman challenge ran for two weeks, but we are back on schedule with our weekly challenge.
We would love for you to join us. You can check out my other Sassy DT members cards for some more inspiration HERE. I'm sure they have created something fabulous for you.

I made this card for my Super crafty friend, Kim of Oak Pond Creations
She turned 29 again yesterday!! (lol)
She is a big dork like me and likes the movie Napoleon Dynamite...hence, the sentiment.
Happy Birthday Kim!!!

Sorry...I'm Late

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge #141 - Belated Birthday

Good Morning Blogland peeps! It's Tuesday and time for a new challenge over at Sassy Cheryl's. I have the honor of choosing this week's theme and I decided on Belated Birthday. I know we all try to be on top of things and never forget a Birthday, but be honest, isn't there always one that sneaks by us?
That's what this week's challenge is all about.
I have to admit that I was flying by the seat of my pants on this one guys. My printer (to put it nicely) has bit the dust. These are NOT the words I used this weekend when I NEEDED it for a few things. I had a few cross words with it, hit it, swore at it, talked sweet to it and then paid my last respects. (insert trumpet playing Taps here)  My card feels naked without a sentiment and I just didn't have a rubber stamp that quite fit. I turned my crafty space upside down looking for ANYTHING I could use and had almost given up hope when I came across some very old rub on words. I cut those things apart like I was making a ransom note!! Thank goodness I am a pack rat. Lol
I picked Cheryl's image, Noah's Tire Swing for my card this week. Don't you just love that sweet face peeking out from behind his tire swing? Can't be mad at him, right? That's what I am hoping for anyway.

Here is the inside with some more creative ransom note style lettering.
That "L" was actually a cursive "f". Pretty good huh? lol
It's amazing the ideas that can come from desperation.

It was so great to see so many of you in our first week back to using ONLY Sassy Cheryl images.
Just goes to show you how much Cheryl's characters are adored.  We look forward to seeing you all again this week and invite even more of you to play along. The more the merrier!!

Its A Guy Thing

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge #140 - Masculine

Good Morning and Happy Tuesday! It's Election day here in The United States!! I won't go
on a long political rant but I will be exercising my right to vote tonight after I get off work and
I hope you all will be doing the same.

This weeks challenge over at Sassy Cheryl's is all about the fellas. Dawn is our Sassy hostess with the mostest and she wants to see some cards made just for guys or about guys.  I know I seen to get in a girly fru-fru rut sometimes and go to find a guy card in my stash and can't find one.  So, this is a perfect time to get one done and ready. I had the most fun coloring this cute little boy! This is Noah  is All Ears. Isn't he darling?!? He is one of my favorite Sassy Cheryl images at the moment. I say "at the moment" because my favorite always seems to change from week to week. Lol

Don't forget that starting this week you MUST USE A SASSY CHERYL'S IMAGE to enter the challenge!
We would love for you to join us and play along.

Izabella Is Turning 2!!

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge #136 - Celebrate Birthdays

Happy Tuesday Morning!! Sorry I was M.I.A. last week. I had a bout of the "creepy cruds" and just couldn't muster up the energy to get any crafting done. It sure was nice to get back in my crafty space this weekend. I had such a good time getting ready for this weeks Sassy Cheryl's Challenge. Our crafty sweetheart Judy has set the theme this week and she wants to Celebrate Birthdays. The month of October is a BIG birthday month for me, I have SIX Birthdays to celebrate!! This card is for my Great Niece Izabella's Birthday. She will be turning 2 on the 19th!! She lives in Colorado and I sure miss her. She is my favorite little red head. Big (( hugs )) and kisses Izzy-B!! I love you!

I just HAD to give Sam a carrot top for this one.
Scroll down and you will see why...

This is the one and only, Oh So Adorable Izabella! Doesn't she look so much like Sassy Cheryl's Samantha?

I'm so glad to be back for this weeks challenge! I can't wait to see all the wonderful Birthday creations you have to share with us. Happy Crafting Y'all!!!

Clowning Around for Cindy's Birthday

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge #133 - To Die For

Good Morning Blogland! We survived another Monday and have made it to Tuesday.
That means it's time for another fun challenge over at Sassy Cheryl's and it's "To Die For"!! (Lol)
This week's challenge theme was the clever idea of our crafty & Sassy DT member Dawn. She wants to see some die cuts on all those beautiful entries. There are so many die cuts out there and I can't wait to see which ones you guys choose.
I chose a couple die cuts by Tim Holtz for my card this week. I paired them with Sassy Sally Clowns Around. Isn't she adorable?!?! I knew I just had to have her when I saw her. Cheryl also has another clown called Momma's Little Clown. He is just as sweet as Sally.
Thanks so much for joining us in last week's sketch challenge. All the entries were beautiful.

I made this card for my Best Friend of 17 years. Her name is Cindy (a.k.a. Cindy Lou) and her Birthday was Monday. So, everyone join me in wishing Cindy a HaPpY BiRtHdAy!!

Happy Cake Day Samantha!

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge #132 - A Sketch

This week's challenge theme at Sassy Cheryl's is a fabulous sketch made by our crafty DT member, Dawn
I just love following a sketch and I don't know why I don't do it more often. I chose to use Avery Celebrates with Cake for my image this week. It was my Niece Samantha's 9th Birthday yesterday and this is the card I made for her. She is such a sweetie just like little Avery.  I have used this image before and realized after I was finished that I just can't help using my crimper on kraft paper with with it. Lol

Dawn has made it really fun and easy to play along this week. We sure hope to see more of your beautiful creations this week. Thanks to all you crafty people who joined us in last weeks Got the Blues? challenge.
Just follow the sketch below and get creative!!!

Shiver Me Timbers...

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge #119 - Happy Birthday

Happy Tuesday morning Blog Land friends!
I have the honor of hostessing the challenge this week at Sassy Cheryl's and I have chosen the
theme Happy Birthday. You can never have too many Birthday cards lying around. You never know when you will need one. I made this one with a certain little someone in mind. I just love the way Noah is peeking over the edge of the tub. Doesn't he look like he's up to something??? Just like a certain little red head I know, always looking for mischief. Lol
Cheryl has some adorable new Birthday images in her shop just in time for this challenge.
Stop by and check them out! Hope you can decide on a image and join us.

I thought Noah had been in the bath playing for a while and the water was starting to get a little chilly. That's what made me think of "shiver". Lol
Here is the sentiment I made for Noah. I would love to share it with you. Just right click on the image and save. I just ask that if you use it, tell people where you got it.

Magical Birthday

I'm here to share this card I made for a special "little person" in my life who shall remain nameless so they don't know this card is for them. We are Harry Potter fans in my Family and my kids and I read all the books when they were younger. We still enjoy the movies and were so sad when the last one came out. Now another young one in the Family has started reading the books too and I just LOVE to see the look on their face when they talk about them. This image by Just Inklined is SO appropriately named A Good Read.

Happy Birthday to a Really Fun-gi!

Happy Birthday Pop!!

Today is my Father-in-law's Birthday! We love you Pop and hope you have a wonderful day. We will be heading up State to visit this weekend and have some fun filled Family time.( and cake, of course)  March is a busy Birthday time for my Family. We have 5 this month!
I used this cute mushroom image from Tiddly Inks and paired it up with a sentiment I saw somewhere and remembered  because I thought it was cute. NO BOWS because Hubby says, "no bows on MAN cards".

Happy Birthday Daddy!!

Yesterday was my Daddy's Birthday!! I was torn between a funny card and a handsome "guy" card so I decided to mix the two. I gave the card a clean look with manly stripes and a funny sentiment. The inside says..."you must be approaching magnificent!". I think he got a kick out of it.
I hope you had a great day Daddy. Are you thirty yet???
Love you!
I used this new Mo Manning image called Introducing Oskar. Isn't he a dapper fellow? He looks a bit older than my Daddy but I think he worked well. I am entering this card into Mo's "Button's & Bows" challenge.

Special Birthday Wish

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge #106 - Make it Green

Happy Tuesday! Time for this weeks Sassy Cheryl's Challenge. Our ever so talented DT Coordinator Peggy is the hostess this week and I think she is feeling a little Irish. She wants to see some green on our creations.

I made this card for my dear friend Linda's Mom, Hilda. She just turned 85!!! They took her out to a YUMMY local Mexican restaurant (one of my favs) and had a fiesta! She got TWO cakes and even got to wear a sombrero! I think the whole restaurant was singing her Happy Birthday. She was so cute! You can catch a glimpse of her HERE on Linda's blog.

I used Tiny Tabitha for my card. Isn't she a sweetie. I have always loved her, but I haven't colored her with black hair before. I kinda like it, although she would be cute no matter what color her hair was. You can get her HERE in the $2 bin!!!!! Too cute to pass up.

I hope you all will come and join us in this weeks challenge. I know we all have something green!!
Looking forward to seeing your crafty creations.

Happy 70th Joan Marie!!!

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge #105 - Sketch

It's another terrific Tuesday and time for another fun Sassy Cheryl's Challenge!
Our super talented DT member Jackie is our hostess this week and has provided us with a great sketch.

I made this card for my Mother in Law's 70th Birthday. The whole Family on my Hubby's side actually got together and we had such a wonderful day. It is so hard for everyone to be in the same place at the same time. There was great food, yummy cake and lots of laughs. Such a blessing!

I just loooove Cheryl's new cutie Callie! When I first saw her I knew she was destined to have red hair.
So, I did some research and some practicing and I have colored my VERY FIRST red head.  I like it so I will definitely be trying it again. I am going to practice on black next. We will see how that goes.

Okay guys, take a copy of this sketch to your crafty table and get busy! It's too much fun not to join in.
