Cornies!

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge #27 - Fall/Halloween

I know this is a strange title for a card but I promise there is a good reason. When my daughter was little that is what she called candy corn. Since then it has stuck and at our house they will forever be known as "cornies". I made this card for her...it's a sentimental thing. I love you Savannah Banana!

This adorable image is from Sassy Cheryl's of course! It is called "Candy Corn Girl". There are so many adorable Halloween images to choose from.
Paper is BoBunny & Core'Dinations. I used my Cricut cartridge "Happy Hauntings" for the frame around the image.

One more thing...
I have been busting at the seams for weeks to announce to you all that I have been chosen to be on the Sassy Chery's design team!!!!! (Big cheesy Grin) I am so honored to be working with such an amazing artist and design team. These ladies are crazy talented! So, come join us on the challenges and get in on the fun.

Swingin' Birthday

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge #26 - Polka Dots

I made this card for my best friend Cindy's oldest boy Colby for his birthday. He turned five last week and he is ALL BOY! Wild, dirty, loud and a little sweet too. I have been blessed to watch him grow. I was there the day he was born and I have loved every minute I have been able to spend with him. Aunt Jeni loves you "Pickle Head"!
Image is Sassy Cheryl's "Indiana Joe".
Papers are Bo Bunny "Block Party Dots" and Core'Dinations "Color Core". I used EK Success paper edge punch and some twine I had in my ribbon box.

Buzzin' By to say "Happy Birthday"!

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge #25 - Stitch it up!

This cute little image (There's a Bee on my Nose) is from Sassy Cheryl's; of course! I hope you can see the stitching...I had to do it all by hand. I stitched the bee's trail and stitched along the rick rack. I wanted to do more but my sewing machine is M.I.A. I havent used it in quite a while and I'm afraid it got put in a yard sale at some point. OOPS~ I'm not an avid sewer so I havent noticed it was missing. Lol

I made this card for my Niece Hannah. Her Birthday is at the end of this month and she is such a sweetie. I wish I could see her more often but she's about 4 hours away. Hope your day is Fabulous!!! Happy Birthday Hannah! Love you!!!

Paper is My Mind's Eye, Lush med. red Polka dot & Spooked Haunted dots.
Spellbinders Standard Circles.
MS punches, Bumble Bee & Iron Gate.
Yellow & black diamond Stickles, yellow rick rack and black thread.

I Triple Dog Dare You!

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge #24 - Black, white & pink...with embellishments (of course)

Here I am again at the last minute this week...shame on me!
Cathy was our hostess again this week and she wanted us to use a color combo (pink, white & black). What a fun challenge!! I love these colors! This cutie of an image is from Sassy Cheryl's of course. She is called "Getting Stuck". She is by far my favorite right now and I just had to use her. The paper is from "The Paper Studio". I just realized that my sparkly snowflake looks a awful shade of gold in this pic. Ewww! It is really diamond stickles and is a pretty shiny, silvery color. But in the essence of time the picture has to stay AS IS. Sorry
I can honestly say that I have never stuck my tongue to a freezing cold lamp post.....but I did get my tongue stuck on the freezer shelf when I was about nine. I know! DUH!!! Gosh, I was just trying to taste it. My brother (6 yrs. older & wiser) had to pour warm water on it to get me un-stuck. Needless to say, I learned my lesson.

My Senior, Savannah!

Had to share this sneak peek of my Daughter's Senior Photo Shoot from Sunday! The rest wont be ready for about a week. My friend Kim did the shoot for us. She is such a talented photographer. My daughter has always been a camera ham, but even the hammiest of hams got tired after the first hour. In her defense; it was REALLY hot outside. Can't wait to see the rest Kim. Thanks so much! ~jeni :)

Monster Truck Jam

My bestie Cindy came over this weekend and we made some invitations for her son Colby's 5th Birthday party. It was fun crafting with her again. He is lovin' moster trucks right now! We found the image on line (hard to find monster truck digital images). The arrow paper is "American Crafts" Road Trip. To get the results on top we wrapped a piece of card stock with aluminum foil and ran it through the Cuttle Bug in the "Diamond Plate" folder. The checkered flags were made with ribbon cut into 1 1/2 inch strips and wrapped around the toothpick with a little hot glue. It was awesome to see his face when we showed them to him!

Twins!

No...I'm not pregnant! Simmer down! lol
I made this card for my friend whose cousin is having twin boys. (Oh Boy!)

I used an old sizzix die (pea & pea pod) that I havent used in a while. I actually forgot I had it. Almost like getting something new. The paper is by My Minds Eye and Heidi Grace. Spellbinders Die "Labels Ten" for the matte and embossed the ivory one with "Argyle" Cuttle Bug folder. I also used a Stampin' Up Scalloped border punch.

Compliments to the Chef!

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge #23 - Altered Notebooks

This weeks challenge was to alter a notebook. I altered this one to use as a recipe book. This adorable image is "Sassy Baker" from Sassy Cheryl's, colored with copic markers. Isn't she too cute? The papers are My Minds Eye and Cosmo Cricket. I used Spellbinders Circle die & EK Success Jumbo Scallop border punch. This was a fun challenge and something new for me. Thanks Cathy! ~jeni :)

Believe

Mo's DIgital Pencil Challenge #42 - "It's Christmas in July"

This cute little darling is "Christmas Fairy Holly" from Mo's Degital Pencil. I colored her with copic markers and accented her with diamond, X-mas red & yellow stickles. Paper is My Minds Eye "So Sophie" & BoBunny Press "Raspberrie Green Dots". I used Spellbinders Dies "Standard Circles" & "Labels Three" and a Martha Stewart border punch. Even though it's 100+ degrees here this card has me ready for the Christmas Season. I'm sure it will be here before I know it.

My Colorado Moose!

This is for my blog friend Marlene who has never seen a moose. Sorry she has no rack to speak of but female moose dont have "those kind of racks". Bahahahaha! Thought you would appreciate that Marlene. Seriously...this is a Mamma moose. She and her 3 baby moose hung around our cabin in Colorado while we were on vacation a few weeks ago. They are beautiful, graceful animals. We must have watched them for hours. I so wanted to pet them but we were told they were aggressive if you got too close. They came within 20-30 feet of us but thats as close as they got.

WOYWW

I really have a heap this week!! It seems like this has been my dumping spot since we came back from vacation. I will get organized soon; I promise. (yeah right) Lets see what we have going on....lets go from left to right shall we.
New cardmaker magazine, Mo's digital image for this weeks challenge (running behind), Bow Easy ( a gift from my good friend Linda; "Thanks Linda!"), the rest of my Sassy Cheryl's images from this weeks challenge (I won a $10.00 gift cert. - WOOT WOOT) and to the far right.....my stack of pretty papers I got while I was on vacation (lucky me).
