Frantic Graduation Girl

When someone asked me to do a graduation card for their Daughter I knew exactly which file I was going to. This "Frantic Graduate" digi from Sassy Cheryl's was "IT"!! She is so adorable and I didn't have a chance to use it last year. Look how happy she is...as every graduate should be. I am working on another graduation card for a special someone but I can't show it until her party on Saturday! Boy how the time does fly by. Very bitter-sweet.

Anita Be Stampin Challenge #22 - Layers

This week at Anita Be Stampin we want to see "Layers" so pile it on ladies!!

My card this week was inspired by my Sister(kinda looks like her). She lives in Colorado and recently had SNOW!!! WHAT!?!? At least I have a hop on my Christmas cards. I love this digi! She is one of Anita's and her name is Aspen and you can find her HERE. Such a fun, wintery image. Hope you can join us in the challenge!

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge #66 - Gift card, tag or box

This week at Sassy Cheryl's we are in a giving mood. We want you to show us a creation that can be given with a gift. Tags, gift card holders, gift boxes, gift bags, etc. We know you all have an occasion coming up where one is needed so what better way to give than to get a chance at a free digital image too!! So just pick out one of your favorite Sassy Cheryl images and make something for someone they won't soon forget.
I made another accordion book this week. These are so much fun and once you make your first one, you're gonna be hooked!!! HERE is the tutorial I learned from. They are so much fun to make.

This is a little something I have been working on this morning while I should really be doing yard work. HeeHeeHee! Anyway...stop by and show Cheryl what you are working on this week. Take a peek at the other girls desks and link up your pic so we can spy too. Just click HERE and it will take you to the right place.

Glamorous!

I know today I would usually be posting about a new challenge over at Anita Be Stampin but I am just here to share another card I have made with one of her fabulous images. Anita has decided to extend her challenges to 2 weeks so everyone will have time to play along. The "Pearls and Lace" challenge is still going on so hop on over and show us your cards.

For this card I took the Tallulah digi image and cropped just the top half of her body with my "Classic Square" Spellbinder to show off her gorgeous hat!! Isn't it fabulous!?! I got all these papers from my box of scraps so I am sorry I don't know any details about them. I added a little ribbon and a bow and finished it off with the perfect sentiment from Create with TLC. Sometimes I just love to go all fru-fru!!

In God We Trust

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge #65 - Patriotic

This week at Sassy Cheryl's our theme is "Patriotic". Cheryl has some great new "Americana" images in her shop! I just had to use one of her older images because I just love Cheryl's bears! Aren't they adorable!?!

Memorial Day, originally called Decoration Day, is a day of remembrance for those who have died in our nation's service. I hope we all take a little time out of our day to remember those who have given the ultimate sacrifice for our Country's freedom. May 30th is memorial Day here in The States and I will be celebrating the Holiday at home, probably grilling out and spending time with family.

I know some of you don't live here in The States but we want you to celebrate your Country as well. I do believe a few of the Sassy Gals are doing just that. (I peeked at their cards) So, join in and have fun showing off your Country's colors, past times, history, humorous sides...whatever floats your boat. Hope to see you all in the challenge posts this week.

Gone to the Beach!!!

This adorable fellow is Harold and he is on Holiday!

Oh my goodness...I didn't think I would EVER get this card posted today. I have been trying to post since about 12:00! I have to give my hubby credit. He is actually the one who finally figured out what was going on. Somehow my "cookies" (which I refer to as Chips Ahoy, Oreo, Nutter Butter, etc.) were changed in my computer settings and every time I tried to log into my Blogger dash board all I got was a constant click like it was trying but not quite getting there. After much swearing and lots of chocolate cake, things are much better now!

This is one of the new images released from Just Inklined called "Harold Holiday". You can find him HERE. Isn't he adorable on his scooter!?!

This weeks challenge at Anita Be Stampin is Pearls and Lace!

It's time to get Froo-Froo ladies!!!

I have used one of Anita's rubber stamp sets called "Cherry Sweet". Love her!! Isn't she a doll!?! I was so excited when I got her in the mail, it was like Christmas. (Lol) I actually colored her about 5 different times and picked the one that matched the paper I chose the best.

Hope to see you all in the challenge posts!!

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge #64 - Image on Kraft paper

It is my turn to pick the theme for this weeks challenge at Sassy Cheryl's and I want to see you guys color on some Kraft paper!!! Pick your favorite Sassy image and as long as you print it out on Kraft paper you can color it however you like. I have wanted to use this image for some time and I thought this challenge would be a perfect for her. I have been craving ice cream lately (NO, I am NOT pregnant) so I thought I would go with my gut and make this whole card about it. Lol You can see she is holding my favorite ice cream of all time....Mint Chocolate Chip!!!! Yummy!

I hope you all have time to join in the challenge this week! As always, Cheryl is giving away a $5 dollar gift certificate to the lucky winner in the drawing! Good Luck!!

Daisy Head Maisy

I missed the Sassy Cheryl's' Challenge by a couple hours but I still wanted to post my card. Tomorrow will be the start of a brand new Color Me Challenge so be sure to check it out. Not only does Cheryl showcase new images but she has them in her store at a discounted price during the challenge. Can't beat that huh?
This little cutie reminded me of a nick name my Dad had for my daughter Savannah. When she was a toddler she didn't have much hair so the little hair she had was always in a pony tail on the top of her head like a fountain. She got the nick names "Daisy Head Maisy" and "Top Knot". Funny how stuff like that sticks with you.

Show Me Thursday...on Sunday

I know...I know, it's no Thursday! I'm running a tad bit late this week. I can't be first ALL the time. (Lol) My desk has changed many times this week and even today it looked different all day long. Well, it's time to chill out and step away from the craft table. I got lots done today but this is the one that I am most proud of. This is my first image colored using distress inks. I have been wanting to try it for quite some time and I watched a tutorial last week and it inspired me. I know it's not the greatest but not bad for a newbie. I also have my usual clutter corner. One day I will surprise you and it will all be put away.....NOT! I know myself better than that.

Ever feel like you're surrounded by a bunch of Bananas?

This adorable primate is another fabby image from Just Inklined. Don't you just love his expression!?! Priceless! There are a couple more images with him also. You just gotta love him. Had a fun time coloring him because I got to try out a couple new Copic colors on him. I am IN LOVE with all the E's.

Well, bless your heart...

This is my 2nd post for today, scroll down to check out the Sassy Cheryl's challenge.

This week at Anita Be Stampin we have another great sketch for you to work with. I love using sketches because the hardest part is already done for you, all that's left is deciding which papers and embellishments you are going to use. This beautiful lady is Victoria and you can find her HERE. The distress ink turned out a little darker than I would have liked. I was going for an antique look and I used Antique Linen but I think I got carried away. Lol

I hope you all enjoyed the new release blog hop on Friday. Thanks so much for all your wonderful comments. Check it out if you missed it. Anita has some terrific new images in her shop for you. Happy Crafting Y'all!

Oh Spit!

Hey all you Sassy Cheryl fans! It's Tuesday and time for another fabulous challenge. Thanks so much for all of your participation last week. (comments & entries) This week our hostess with the mostest is the ever so talented Jodi and she wants to see some ribbons and bows on our projects. Easy peasy huh? No excuses not to grab your favorite Sassy Cheryl images and play along. We sure do love to see all of your creations.

This week I chose 2 Sassy Cheryl images to play with. My fellow blog friend Debbie told me about a great image layering program "Paint.net" so I have been playing with it. I have been doing a little better so I thought I would show you a card I made using it. I hope my fellow Sassy DT member Dawn doesn't mind but I couldn't resist using this sentiment with her llama. His expression is priceless!

Sassy Cheryl's Show Me Thrusday #23

Here we are on Thursday and you know what that means...

It's time to get nosey with Sassy Cheryl!!!

I am working on a graduation card for my Nephew today! Their mascot is a tiger so that's why I have that piece of tiger print paper out there. Lol

Hmmm...what else is there I can explain? That little tin had Easter candy in it and I plan to turn it into a gift card holder. As usual, my pile of "stuff" remains in the upper right hand corner. You would not believe all the treasures I have hiding in there. I have some digis ready to color in the lid of my Copic Treasure Chest. Maybe I can get to those at lunch.

So, hop yourself on over to Cheryl's blog and check out the cutie she is working on today. (I can't wait until she is finished) Hope you decide to let your defenses down and let us into your space this week! Have a Crafty Thursday!!

This week's Challenge at Anita Be Stampin is a fabulous color combo challenge. This is my first time working with one of Anita's Fairies and I just loved it. She really has some beautiful fairy digis. I have found another excuse to use glitter!! My bloggie friend Sarah would be proud.

Hope you all can join in on the fn this week. There were some beautiful entries in last weeks sketch challenge so I know this weeks color challenge should bring out some wonderful creations as well! Best of luck!

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge #62 - Pink

This week the theme is PINK at Sassy Cheryl's!! WooHoo!!

So ladies...get out all your pink papers, ribbons, flowers, beads, etc. and join in HERE! Good luck in the challenge. Who knows, that Sassy Cheryl freebie could be yours!

The first time I saw this little book was on one my fellow blogger's page. I can not remember who it was but I did print the link she noted in her post. There is a great tutorial HERE. If my bloggie friend I forgot knows who you are please let me know so I can link to your beautiful creation also. I know it was gorgeous because it inspired me to try it too!

Mr. & Mrs.

It's the first Monday of the month so you know what that means....it's time for a

This month's theme is "Clean and Simple". I'm not gonna lie, this one had me biting my nails. I am not a clean and simple kind of gal. I like to put "stuff" on my cards. This challenge was definitely a challenge. I guess that's what it's all about. It's good to go outside your comfort zone now and then.

I was in Fairy Tale mode this weekend. I had to DVR the wedding of William and Kate because I don't get up at 4:00 in the morning for anyone! After last week it sure felt good to unwind Saturday morning with my Mom and a cup of coffee. (sinus infection, ear infection, antibiotics...blah...blah...blah...rough week) The wedding was beautiful and her dress was gorgeous! That's where this card comes in. Lol

I'm sure the rest of the girls have some more "Clean and Simple", yet beautiful cards for you to see. If you arrived here from Joyce's blog you are in the right place. If not, head on over to Jak's blog and start at the beginning. You don't want to miss a thing! I have it on good authority that there will be 5 Mystery prizes up for grabs. You never know whose blog they will be hiding in, so don't forget to leave all the girls some love. Have fun!!

Here is the order of the hop:
