Amor

Our hostess with the mostest this week is the lovely & talented Ann. She wants us to "feel the love" and make a Valentine. I love making Valentines!!  I remember in grade school we always made Valentines folders for the back of our desks, then all the kids would bring in Valentines and put them in the folder pockets. It was always such a fun day. I would take them home and look at them over and over.

I didn't make a Valentine to give away. I made the center section of a Valentine's Day banner for my house! I am going to make 2 more and put one on each side. I had fun playing with my Cricut again this week.

Here is a close up of the pennant.

Here is another shot of the middle pennant and dividing hearts and tulle.

Last week was the 100th challenge at Sassy Cheryl's and Cheryl had some wonderful prizes up for grabs so I decided to do the same. I had 23 wonderful comments and I have asked Hubby to pick  a random number between 1-23. The lucky number is......
4 - Dawn, that's you my Sassy friend!!
Your little crafty package will be on the way.

I hope you all enjoy the challenge this week. Can't wait to see your Valentine creations.
Happy Crafting Y'all!!

I am also entering this into the following challenges:

Paper: Recollections - Red & Pink Hearts
Accessories: Cricut - Plantin Schoolbook and Rock Princess cartridges, Spellbinder - Scalloped Heart, Tim Holtz - Adage Tickets, MS - Eyelet lace scallop punch, Royal Lace - white heart doily

Wishing that you all have a wonderful week and the weekend comes quickly for you!

Happy New Year!

Welcome to Sassy Cheryl's first challenge of 2012!!
We are celebrating new beginnings this week. New Year, new baby, new home, new anything!!
I chose to go with the New Year. My daughter Savannah got a K&Co. "Smash Book" for Christmas and we were working on the first pages to start her off. As you can see, she hasn't added her photos and keepsakes to them yet. We made each photo mat a pocket to hold her mementos. This new image from Cheryl called "Lets Party...Sassy Sally" is perfect for Savannah. Totally fits her. Maybe when she adds her own personal touches I will post a pic.

Here is a close up of Sassy Sally in party mode...isn't she adorable!?!

We are looking forward to another fabulous and fun year with Sassy Cheryl. We sure hope to see some new Sassy Friends and look forward to seeing more of our old Sassy friends too.
Hope you all have a fabulously crafty New Year!!

Cappuccino Anyone?

Another Tuesday is upon us. That means it's time for another Sassy Cheryl challenge!! Yay!!!!
I was just glad to see Monday come and go, what a day!!
Crafty Jackie is the hostess with the mostest this week and she must be hungry because she wants us to use a Sassy Cheryl image with food .

I never realized how many of Cheryl's images had food in them...Lol. You all know I am a coffee junkie so I had to use this happy go lucky Cappuccino Snowman. Doesn't he just look like he has had his double shot espresso this morning? Looks to me like he has a little extra pep in his step.
Pick out your favorite Sassy image with food/drink in it and join in the challenge. You could win a gift card to the Sassy Cheryl digi shop!! Good luck and Happy Crafting Y'all!!

With Liberty and justice for All!

Sassy cutie Mrs. Judy is our hostess this week at Sassy Cheryl's and she wants us to let part of our image wander outside its frame. Doesn't matter what shape your frame is, just have part of your image sticking outside. I chose one of my very favorite Sassy Cheryl images, I Pledge Allegiance this week and paired her up with some non-traditional patriotic papers. I know the blue isn't the dark blue of the real flag but I really do think it works. This week I made my first EVER "Step card"!! I have been trying to go a little out of my comfort zone and do some different things. I found a great tutorial HERE on LOTV Ideas to Inspire by Heater.
I sure hope to see your crafty creations in the Challenge posts this week!

In God We Trust

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge #65 - Patriotic

This week at Sassy Cheryl's our theme is "Patriotic". Cheryl has some great new "Americana" images in her shop! I just had to use one of her older images because I just love Cheryl's bears! Aren't they adorable!?!

Memorial Day, originally called Decoration Day, is a day of remembrance for those who have died in our nation's service. I hope we all take a little time out of our day to remember those who have given the ultimate sacrifice for our Country's freedom. May 30th is memorial Day here in The States and I will be celebrating the Holiday at home, probably grilling out and spending time with family.

I know some of you don't live here in The States but we want you to celebrate your Country as well. I do believe a few of the Sassy Gals are doing just that. (I peeked at their cards) So, join in and have fun showing off your Country's colors, past times, history, humorous sides...whatever floats your boat. Hope to see you all in the challenge posts this week.

On The Beach

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge #44 - Blue

This is Sassy Cheryl's first challenge of 2011!!! ( *** confetti in the air *** ) I can't wait to see what Cheryl has in store for us this year. Ann is our hostess with the mostest and she has picked the theme "blue" for us this week.

Okay, Christmas is over and do you know what that means for me? There is NO NEED for cold weather or snow!! I will be longing for summer and lazy beach days for the next 4-5 months. That's what this card is all about!!! I tried something "new to me" this week. I printed my image on craft paper and colored it with my Prismacolor pencils. I like the way this technique looks and I think I will be trying it again. Practice, practice, practice...Lol

Start out the new year right and jump in on the first challenge of the year! If you feel like making a card with that cold white stuff on it I will forgive you. (maybe)

Grab Your Party Hat

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge #37 - Use Tulle (or ribbon)

This week at Sassy Cheryl's I am the hostess and "I wanna see some tulle (or ribbon)"! Tulle is one of my favorite embellishments and a lot of people overlook it's usefulness. It is very inexpensive too. The adorable image I used is called "Birthday Bears". Cheryl has the best variety of bears and they are all so stinkin' cute. Check out her shop HERE and come play along with us this week in the Sassy Cheryl's challenge.

The sentiment I used is from TLC Creations. Paulette always seems to have just the sentiments I am looking for.
