Liebster Blog Award!!

First of all....."Thank you for thinking of me Sarah, you have made my day"!

I was tagged by my very dear "Bloggie" friend Sarah (The Stressed Stamper) and given the "Liebster Blog" award!!! This award is given to recognize a blog that you feel doesn't get the recognition it deserves. I know we all have blogs we follow and wonder, "Why doesn't this person have more followers?". This is a good way to share these blogs with others who normally wouldn't have seen them. Hopefully I will share at least one blog that you haven't had the chance to enjoy. These ladies are Super talented and it was hard to narrow my choice down to just five.

If you have been TAGGED and want to participate? Then create a post where you post the 'LOVE BLOG' image. You should also blog the persons link that gave you the award and inform her/him that you accept the award. You can then choose 3 - 5 favourite blogs which you also link in your post, then each blogger will inform you that they have been tagged

Dear bloggers,
The aim of this action is that we bring unknown, good blogs to light, so I would ask you not to blog fellow bloggers that already have 3,000 followers. I follow so many blogs , but I chose 5 that I think deserve more followers than they have, because in my opinion they make stunning - yes stunning card...Please pop over and show them some love - honestly I promise you will NOT be disappointed.

Here are my picks (in no particular order):

1. Toni ...Cuppa-Craft

2. Gemma...De FreubelFreule

3. Jackie...Jackie's Space

4. Mary...Southern Moments

5. Kim...From My Stamp Room

Plant a Seed of Friendship

Ahhhh...feels good to get back into my "Happy Place" after a hectic week! Fighting a sinus infection but I can handle that. First thing I did was tidy up a bit. I had stuff out every where. I need to get in the habit of cleaning up one crafty mess before I make another one.

This beautiful image is from Just Inklined. It is called "Gardening Shelf". I miss planting flowers in Winter (the dirt is too cold for my precious digits). It is so hard to get used to the "blah" after Christmas. Everything is so gray! I guess I will just have to brighten my world with beautiful papers until Spring. Well, back to the craft room for some seasonal paper therapy. Hope you are all enjoying your weekend.

Sassy Cheryl's Show Me #10

My desk is not very interesting this week so I have something else for you to see that may entertain you. My Daughter and I caught our "precious" kitty Seven admiring our parakeets. What do you guys think she is thinking?!?

This is my messy, unorganized, nonproductive desk today! (Sorry the pic is so dark. Yucky, cold, dark and rainy here this week)

I have a card I am giving to my Mom's Cardiac Nurse, Kerri. She was so good to my Mom during her stay in the hospital this past week. I had to get a card out to her A.S.A.P.!!

I have an image I am currently working on there also.....BUT, I had a craft emergency. I ran out of adhesive!!! What kind of crafter runs out of adhesive!?! So until tomorrow I am at a stand still. Looks like a trip to Michael's on my lunch hour tomorrow. Guess I can stock up for the weekend while I am there. I've got two "Sassy" cards to get done ya' know!!

Pay it Forward!

Pay it forward!
Hello everyone. I have just copied this from Heidy's blog. I thought it was a fantastic idea and wanted to join in right away. I made it in time to be in her first five comments and I can't wait to see what she sends me. So...It's time for a bit of fun. It's my turn now to Pay It Forward.

I promise to send something handmade to the first 5 people who comment on this post. However, there is a catch, you must repost this, offering something handmade to 5 other people. The rules state that it MUST be something handmade or homemade by YOUand must be sent to 5 other people during 2011.

Happy Dog Gone Birthday!

Last week was a CRAZY week but I finally got in my crafty space today for some fun! I found this paper at "Aw Shucks", one of my local scrap booking stores. I knew exactly which image I was going to use with it. This little cutie cracks me up. I think Watson is the one taking Daisy for a walk! No plans as to who I will be giving this to but I am sure it won't stay in the card box long.

To the right of my calendar project you will see some more gorgeous seam binding ribbon made by my crafty friend Lisa. New colors..."YAY!". I have a new MS Daisy punch above my calendar and two images on my cutter ready for me to play with! Tomorrow is Friday and that means it's one day closer to the weekend. Baby Giraffe Thank You

I made this card for Katie, one of the girls in my card club. She is having a baby any day now and we all thought it would be nice to each make her a "Thank You" card to save her time after she has the baby. She is waiting to find out if it is a boy or a girl so we are making the cards non-gender specific. Can't wait to see every one's cards!

A little help please...

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge #45 - "Snow"

This week at Sassy Cheryl's our hostess is the lovely Ann and she has chosen the theme "Snow". Now; I know I told you a few posts ago that I was through with this cold, yucky white stuff but Ann is just too nice to refuse. (Lol)

I created ONE MORE snowy card. As you can see by the sentiment I had to be "a little" snarky. (Marlene would be proud)

Hop on over to the Sassy Cheryl Challenge blog and see what the other Sassy Gals have created, get inspired and join in! Chery has so many fabulous winter images to choose from in her store. Hope to see what you have come up with.

Sassy Cheryl's Show Me Thursday

The Holidays have totally demolished my crafty space!!! I really need to get in here and reorganize. Just look at my poor solid paper scrap box, its bursting at the seems. You can barely see the tip of my trash can but it is over flowing. What a mess...get a good peek because hopefully it won't be like this next week.

Here is the close up!

Just finished this card last night but I am adding the little red, glossy accent covered heart to it. It's drying right now. I found out today that one of my customers is having heart surgery on the 15th so I wanted to get this out to him. So everyone send up a prayer for him.

I got a new card magazine for a little inspiration and to make sure there aren't any new gadgets out there that I need. Hee Hee! I also bought some heart charms and beads for those up-coming Valentines!!

My favorite part of my desk right now is my new "Nook Color". My nose has been stuck in it a little too much lately. I can read books, surf the web, do crossword puzzles, listen to the radio, check e-mail AND check out all your blogs.

Hope you can join us at Sassy Cheryl's Show Me Thursday. Come on, you know it's fun to be nosey! So, just snap a picture of your space and upload it to Mr.Linky and get snoopin'!

On The Beach

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge #44 - Blue

This is Sassy Cheryl's first challenge of 2011!!! ( *** confetti in the air *** ) I can't wait to see what Cheryl has in store for us this year. Ann is our hostess with the mostest and she has picked the theme "blue" for us this week.

Okay, Christmas is over and do you know what that means for me? There is NO NEED for cold weather or snow!! I will be longing for summer and lazy beach days for the next 4-5 months. That's what this card is all about!!! I tried something "new to me" this week. I printed my image on craft paper and colored it with my Prismacolor pencils. I like the way this technique looks and I think I will be trying it again. Practice, practice, practice...Lol

Start out the new year right and jump in on the first challenge of the year! If you feel like making a card with that cold white stuff on it I will forgive you. (maybe)
