Diaper Invitations

Good Wednesday afternoon my crafty friends!
My second Grandson Luke is a week old today (man, I feel old) and I wanted to share the baby shower invitations I made for him. I knew I wanted to make one of those cute diaper invitations I spied on some of the regular card/scrapbooking sites, so I went on the hunt for a template. I saw so many out there but my favorite was over at Homemade Gifts Made Easy , I just loved it.
I chose a precious light blue and a soft gray to go with this adorable patterned plaid paper.
It seems like I am so obsessed with gray lately. It has become my favorite color.

Here is a picture of the whole sha-bang.
There is actually just one insert, but I wanted to show you the front and the back.

Here is a close up of the cute little pin and baby feet charm....Awwwwww!
I made his monogram in Microsoft Word and used a spellbinder to make a medallion,
then backed it with a scalloped circle punch.

Thanks for stopping by my little corner of the blogosphere.

I will leave you today with a whole lot of cuteness!
I would like to introduce you to my two Grandsons, Landon and Luke.

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge #69 - Gift Card Holder for Baby

Good morning all you crafters! Get your cup of coffee and settle in. It's Tuesday and that means it's time for another challenge at Sassy Cheryl's!! Our hostess with the mostest this week is Kim and she wants us to make a gift card holder for a baby! It has been a while since I made a baby card so this was a nice change of pace. I have loved this "Rub A Dub Dub" digi for quite a while and was so glad to finally get the chance to use it. Isn't it the sweetest? Cheryl also has several brand new baby images in her shop this week and they are ADORABLE!!! Pick out your favorite and join in the challenge for a chance to win a $5.00 gift certificate. I don't know anyone having twins so I guess this card is going in "The Box" waiting for that special recipient.

Baby Giraffe Thank You

I made this card for Katie, one of the girls in my card club. She is having a baby any day now and we all thought it would be nice to each make her a "Thank You" card to save her time after she has the baby. She is waiting to find out if it is a boy or a girl so we are making the cards non-gender specific. Can't wait to see every one's cards!

Paper: Kraft, K&Co-Small Wonders, Coredinations-Whitewash Collection
Accessories: Spellbinders-Labels One, Jolee's-Zoo Animals, StampCraft-Typewriter, Sweet Petites-Lime micro check ribbon, lime green tulle, misc button

Spellbinders Die "Labels Ten" for the matte and embossed the ivory one with "Argyle" Cuttle Bug folder. I also used a Stampin' Up Scalloped border punch.

Small Wonder

I made this card for my Neice Jessica. She is having a baby in October and her shower is next weekend. I tried not to make this card gender specific because her Dad doesn't want to know if its a boy or girl. ( But I know....Tee Hee Hee!) Sure hope I can keep my big mouth shut!!!
Papers are All My Memories "Charming Dots" & "Charming Stripes". I used spellbinders nestabilities Labels Ten. The border punch & sentiment are both Stampin'Up. The little wooden giraffe is from Michael's.

Pop on over to Jodi's blog (Inked Inspirations) and check her out. She is a very talented artist and has some AWESOME blog candy she's giving away for her Birthday! ( I thought you were supposed to receive on your birthday Jodi???) Happy Birthday Girl! ~jeni :)
