Thankful Hearts

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge #139 - Round About

Good Morning Blogland! We've come to another Tuesday and another fun challenge over at Sassy Cheryl's.
Our Sassy Sistah Dawn is the hostess this week and she has chosen the theme "Round About". What a GREAT challenge, right? I know you all will have a ball with it. Lol

Last year I saw my Sassy DT member Judy make a pumpkin with her Spellbinder's Labels 10 die cut and I knew this year I just had to try it. It was sooo fun and easy!! I haven't decided if i am going to turn this into an easel card or if I am going to use it for a decoration. What do you think?

I hope you all will have time to join us in this weeks challenge.
Get into your creative corners and think ROUND!!
Happy Crafting Y'all!!

**I have some very important information for you Sassy Cherylettes. Starting with next week's challenge, you will be required to use a Sassy Cheryl's image in your submission. **
This week is the last week we will have an "open" challenge.

Happy Fall Y'all!!

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge #134 - Inspiration Photo

Happy Tuesday again Blogland! Time for the weekly Sassy Cheryl's Challenge.
This week we  are using an inspirational picture for our challenge. Dawn has picked a super fun image for us to work with. I love the inspirational picture challenges because it is always so much fun to see how each person interprets the picture. I confess... I peeked at my Sassy DT-mates cards and they are fabulous!! You will see what I mean when you see them.

Here is Dawn's pick for the inspiration photo. It's a beauty, right? Just take a look at the picture and pull out whatever inspires you and get crafty with it. You know, kind of like "Gettin' Jiggy Wit It". Lol

I have been trying so hard to keep up with all of my bloggy friends and their awesome creations. I never seem to have enough time to sit and comment or chit-chat, but that doesn't mean I'm not stopping to take a look. Hopefully I will be able to get around and share the love more often. You all inspire me so mush every day. Don't you wish we could all just sit around and get crafty all the time?
What a GREAT turn out for last week's "To Die For" challenge...WOW! Such beautiful creations you all submitted. I can't wait to see what you all come up with from this weeks "Photo Inspiration" challenge.
Have a terrific week and Happy Crafting Y'all!!!

A fun and easy gift bag...

This is just a cute little gift bag I made for a card club I go to every other Tuesday.
The base of this bag is so easy to whip up. They are great to have on hand for an unexpected or almost forgotten occasion. It is also a perfect size to fit a set of 5 1/2 X 5 1/2 cards.

The end measurements are 6" wide x 4 1/2" high and 3" deep.
All you need is a 12 x 12 piece of card stock.
Score from one side at 3" and 9" (all the way across).
Turn paper and score from other side at 4 1/2 & 7 1/2 (all the way across).
Snip the scored lines in the middle on opposite sides and fold into itself.
Then just decorate...
Easy Peasy!!!

This little Apple Tree is a digi from Just Inklined. I love it because it is so versatile, you can really use it for any season. Just color it up a little differently.

Check out one of my old Sassy Sistahs, Jodi's blog for directions.

Paper: Heidi Grace Designs, Bazzill Basics - London Fog
Accessories: Spellbinders - Labels One, Foof*a*La - Bag-O-Buttons, Pure Color - Willow grossgrain ribbon, Crown - Butcher's twine

It Takes Two

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge #36 - Fall Colors

I am the hostess this week at Sassy Cheryl's and I chose the theme of "Fall Colors". I love fall for it's colors and smells.
From now until the end of Jan. is my favorite time of year. After that I am ready for summer again. My fun time starts off with Halloween and runs through my Birthday month. (Yes, I said month! A single day is NOT enough.)

The Sassy image I chose is called "Cliff Hanging Pumpkin Pushers". I love this image because it can be Fall or Halloween. Those little costumes they are wearing are adorable. You can purchase this image HERE. I also wanted to let you know that Cheryl is now on Facebook!! She loves to see all the crafty creations made with her images so go send her a friend request and start sharing!

I have to give some credit to TLC Creations for this sentiment! It fits perfectly with the scene I was creating. I love it when a plan comes together. HeeHee! So thanks Paulette!

Come join in on the fun HERE and create your own Sassy creation! We love to see all your beautiful designs. This week you have a chance to be a Sassy Cheryl guest designer!!

Falling for your New Baby

I made this card for my friend Kim. She needed a card for a baby shower and of course I had to help her out.
This image is from Mo's Digital Pencil. (Kia playing in the leaves) He is soooooo adorable!
The yo-yo flower in the bottom right corner was made by my Mom. She makes the most beautiful yo-yo quilts and this is from her "stash" of yo-yo's.
