Happy Labor Day!

I had the day off today so I decided to spend the day in my craft room...YAY!

I hope you all had a relaxing day too.

It was Harry Potter Weekend on the TV network Freeform and it always puts me

in the Halloween mood. This little cutie is a Sassy Cheryl's digital image called

Happy Spooktacular Tuesday!! Only a week to go until Halloween and our very own Sassy Ann has chosen the theme "Trick-or-Treat" for the challenge here at Sassy Cheryl's. 

Next to Christmas, Halloween has to be my favorite Holiday for making cards. I think it must be the colors. I just love the way black, orange and purple look together. I do love Halloween as a Holiday; but not the scary, pee your pants part. I like the "cutesy", little kids in adorable costumes part. If you are a teenager out collecting candy without a costume..."GO HOME"!! You will not receive any candy from this old witch. Lol

I chose Charlie, The Wicked Witch of the West  for my card this week.

 Isn't she just the cutest little witch you've ever seen? (and her little kitty too, I'm gonna call him Jinx - Lol)

My card got a little busier than usual, but I just couldn't stop adding "stuff". Hope you enjoy it.

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge #137 - Orange and Black

Good Morning Blogland! It's time for another Sassy Cheryl's Challenge and this week our hostess with the mostest is our lovely, crafty Ann. She has chose the theme Black and Orange. Perfect timing Ann!

 I know you all have at least ONE more Halloween card to make, so get out the black and orange and join in. I picked Cheryl's adorable Sassy Sally the Good Little Witch for my card this week. I found this step card base already folded and cut in my box of scraps and decided that it wanted some company. I paired it up with some Halloween papers (also scraps) and a spooky spider web border punch. 

The end of October starts my favorite time of year. The cooler weather is coming in and it's time for jeans, scarves, football and PUMPKIN SPICE LATTES!!!  Next thing you know it will be time for the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. Believe me, I'm already counting down.

I did a little paper piecing on this cutie from Whimsy and Stars. It is called Silly Candy Corn and you can find it HERE, along with so many more adorable images for Fall.

These little candies don't last very long around my house. I have a little candy dish with Huey, Dewey & Louie standing around it and it's my job to keep it full the whole month of October. So, I guess you could say my whole Family must be a little corny. (soooo true)

Happy Tuesday everyone! Time for another Sassy Cheryl's Challenge!

This week our hostess is the super talented Peggy and she wants to see some Fall colors. This is the beginning of my favorite time of year. These last 3 months are the best.

I'm showing my Fall colors with orange, purple and black...Halloween!! I just can't get enough of Cheryl's little witches, they are too stinkin' cute! This one is called Witch's Broom. There is a link to her in my recipe at the bottom of this post.

Happy Wednesday bloggy friends! We have made it half way through the week. Yay!

I am here to share another cutie pie from Whimsy and Stars this morning. This is another one of Mabelle's new Fall images, isn't she adorable? If you go check out Whimsy ans Stars Studio today Mabelle has some of the DT's cards up for inspiration. There is sure to be some great crafty creations to ogle at.

I watched a tutorial by a fellow bloggy buddy Claudia over at Pretty Pressings the other day about shading. This is my first attempt at shading with Prisma pencils and gamisol. I did just a little this time. Maybe as I keep practicing, I will go a little farther. I usually use distress inks, but I wanted to give this a shot. If you haven't seen Claudia's cards, you MUST stop over and take a look at her blog. You will NOT be disappointed. Her coloring is AMAZING!

Too Cute to Spook!

I have some exciting news for you today. Mabelle at Whimsy and Stars is releasing new digis on Sept. 6th and boy are they CUTE!!! You can catch a sneak peek at Whimsy and Stars Studio.

I have been asked to join the DT and just couldn't say no. This is my first card and I am looking forward to making many more. Thanks Mabelle, for having me.

This adorable little witch is called Halloween Girl. My Mom and I designed this card for our Tuesday card class a couple weeks ago. I originally used different papers but changed them out for the sneak peek. I found the tutorial for this center fold step card HERE. I love the dimension you get from the step cards, great for displaying on Holidays and Birthdays.

I am here to share a little treat bag I made for Halloween. I found a great tutorial HERE. Now that I have it figured out I need to repeat this about 10 more times for all my little monsters. This one will surely be for a boy. This harmless candy monger is "Frank" from Just Inklined. Isn't he adorable? I had a ball coloring him, green skin and all. Lol

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge #36 - Fall Colors

I am the hostess this week at Sassy Cheryl's and I chose the theme of "Fall Colors". I love fall for it's colors and smells.
From now until the end of Jan. is my favorite time of year. After that I am ready for summer again. My fun time starts off with Halloween and runs through my Birthday month. (Yes, I said month! A single day is NOT enough.)

The Sassy image I chose is called "Cliff Hanging Pumpkin Pushers". I love this image because it can be Fall or Halloween. Those little costumes they are wearing are adorable. Sassy Cheryl's Challenge #34 - Furry Friends


This week at Sassy Cheryl's our hostess with the mostest is Lily. She and I joined the Sassy Girls DT a few months ago. She wants us to create something crafty with one of Cheryl's "Furry Friends". I knew right away which image I was going to choose. The day Cheryl posted this cutie I was so excited. He is called "Wizard Bear". I teased Cheryl and said he will lovingly be known to me as "Beary Potter". (Sorry...BIG Harry Potter fan) Isn't he adorable? He is cookin' up some love potion #9!! Not sure who is gonna end up with this one. I may just keep it as a Halloween decoration. Who knows! Come join us for a FUN challenge. Sassy Cheryl's Challenge #33 - Add Dimension

This week at Sassy Cheryl's our "Hostess with the Mostest" was Tracy. She asked us to add dimension to our creations. I am popping everything up and out!! I made this Halloween treat container for my niece. She comes knocking on my door every Halloween in the cutest costumes. Can't wait to see what she is gonna be this year.

I used Sassy Cheryl's image "The Frills". I think she was one of Cheryl's freebies for her Paper Craft Planet group. She is so cute and I have used her several times but never for Halloween. See how versatile Cheryl's images are!?

I made this card for Split Coast's 300th sketch challenge! I used some scraps from my scrap box so I am not sure who the designers are. My favorite always seems to change with my mood, seasons & new crafty purchases. (such is a ladies choice...right?) Right now my favorite Sassy Cheryl image happens to be "Marching Witch Bear". When I was little I wanted to be a "Rockette" and I think she wants to be one too. Hubby says she is a "Spookette"! Lol!! Every Thanksgiving I would wait, wait and wait some more for those high-kickin' dancers to take their turn in front of Macy's so I could dance & kick right along with them. To this day I do not miss the parade and I make my kids suffer through with me now that they are teenagers. Lol

This week I chose another image by Brian Lock. I love this little witch! Every woman has to get on her broom and ride from time to time!!! Lol

I used some paper scraps I had in my scrap box(not sure of designer), MS spider web punch, Spellbinders standard circle, yellow diamond stickles and a little house from Jolee's.

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge #27 - Fall/Halloween

I know this is a strange title for a card but I promise there is a good reason. When my daughter was little that is what she called candy corn. Since then it has stuck and at our house they will forever be known as "cornies". I made this card for her...it's a sentimental thing. I love you Savannah Banana!

This adorable image is from Sassy Cheryl's of course! It is called "Candy Corn Girl". There are so many adorable Halloween images to choose from.
Paper is BoBunny & Core'Dinations. I used my Cricut cartridge "Happy Hauntings" for the frame around the image.

One more thing...
