Good Morning Blog Land!

This week's challenge at Through The Craft Room Door is ANYTHING GOES, as always.
I chose to play with one of my favorite Tiddly Inks digital images, Mermaid Miranda. Don't you just love her? I was inspired by my recent visit to the ocean...YAY SUMMER! Anyone else glad it's finally here?

Sure hope you can join in on the challenge this week. We love to see all your beautiful submissions.
AND don't forget to check out the newest edition of TTCRD magazine! The link is on my sidebar.

Hopping By to Say Hi!

Hello Blogland!
I just wanted to stop by and share a little card I made for my in-laws.
They both have been feeling a little yucky lately and I wanted to send them a little "Happy".

This little fellow is a cutie patootie from Tiddly Inks called "Little Hopper - Toadally Amazing". I have had him colored for over a year and was saving him for something, but I just didn't know what. I think I just liked to look at him. I'm okay with sharing him now though.
I "toadally" missed the Green Challenge over at Tiddly Inks last week. Lol
This would have been perfect.

I am entering this card into the "Anything Goes" challenge over at Through the Craft Room Door

Diaper Invitations

Good Wednesday afternoon my crafty friends!
My second Grandson Luke is a week old today (man, I feel old) and I wanted to share the baby shower invitations I made for him. I knew I wanted to make one of those cute diaper invitations I spied on some of the regular card/scrapbooking sites, so I went on the hunt for a template. I saw so many out there but my favorite was over at Homemade Gifts Made Easy , I just loved it.
I chose a precious light blue and a soft gray to go with this adorable patterned plaid paper.
It seems like I am so obsessed with gray lately. It has become my favorite color.

Here is a picture of the whole sha-bang.
There is actually just one insert, but I wanted to show you the front and the back.

Here is a close up of the cute little pin and baby feet charm....Awwwwww!
I made his monogram in Microsoft Word and used a spellbinder to make a medallion,
then backed it with a scalloped circle punch.

Thanks for stopping by my little corner of the blogosphere.

I will leave you today with a whole lot of cuteness!
I would like to introduce you to my two Grandsons, Landon and Luke.

Brighter Days...

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge #163 - April Showers...Spring Flowers

Good Morning Blog Land! I am running a bit behind this morning....Arrrrrgh!
The date totally got away from me and I forgot to write my post last night. I guess I was too busy loving on that sweet, adorable, new Grandson of mine. Lol (great excuse, right?)
It is Tuesday and you know what that means. It's time for another fun challenge at Sassy Cheryl's
Our Sassy DT Sista, Dawn of Dawn a New Day has chosen a perfect challenge this week...
April Showers! We are having a week of rain and clouds here in Myrtle Beach.
It makes me sooooo lazy. Not good for my whole work attitude.  :)
I chose my favorite umberlla toting cutie, Calli. She is my go to rainy day gal. Don't you just love her pig tails and that sweet little half smile? She just melts my heart. You can find her HERE in a group of images called Callie's Busy Day. Three images for $4.00!!! You can't beat that with a stick.

Stop on by the Challenge Blog and check out the beautiful cards made by my DT mates. They sure are a wonderfully talented group of ladies. I am so honored to be in their company.
Happy Crafting Y'all!!

You're the Bee's Knees

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge #163 - Monochromatic

Hello and Happy Tuesday Blog Land!
It's time to put your craftiness to the test in the Sassy Cheryl's Challenge. Our VERY Sassy Ms. Dawn from Dawn a New Day is leading the way this week with a Monochromatic theme. I am a little out of my element on this one so be sure to check out all the other Sassy Girl's creations on the challenge page for some more inspiration. The only thing I knew going into this challenge was that I just HAD to use my new "Honeycomb" embossing folder. My friend Mel is a Stampin' Up Demonstrator and she left me a little package on my porch last week and I have been dying to use it. What do ya think Mel?
Any who...this is the end result of my latest crafty expense.

Thanks to you all who joined us in last week's sketch challenge. What a fabulous group of entries. We sure hope to see you again this week. Thanks for stopping by my little corner of the Internet and as always...
Happy Crafting Y'all!!

All You Need is Love

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge #160 - A Sketch

Good Morning and Happy Tuesday to you! Here we are at the beginning of April already.
It's time to share another fabulous Sassy Cheryl's Challenge with you. Our resident Prisma coloring perfectionist, Judy has put together an awesome sketch for us. I always enjoy sketches. It takes away the hard decisions and lets you focus on the fun stuff....COLORING!!!
I have had this sweet image in my "Sassy Folder" for a while and decided to color her up since it was Easter on Sunday. She isn't in Cheryl's new store but her sweet friend Sally can be found there with her bunny in an image called "Bunny Gets a Home". Just click HERE

Here is Judy's fabulous sketch!!

Hope you hop right into this week's challenge with us.

Hot Fun in the Summertime!

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge #159 - Favorite Color Combo

Happy Tuesday Blogland friends!!
It's time for another crafty challenge at Sassy Cheryl's. Our Sassy Sistah Cathy, over at Ink It Up and Stamp it Out with Cathy Edgar is our hostess with the mostest. She want's us to use our favorite color combo!!
I have so many favorite color combinations and I really think it depends on my mood. When I was looking through my stash of papers blue and green were jumping out at me. I wonder what mood that means I was in? Does anyone know? If you do, I would love for you to tell me. Lol
So, I had colors in mind and moved on to my image. This image of Sally called Lazy Afternoon was just begging me to pick her. So I obliged. The papers just seemed to fall into place after that.

I hope this card brings you all a little bit of Summer on this extended Winter of cold.
Stupid Groundhog!! (is he ever right???)

Please come join in the fun this week and check out what the other Sassy Gals have created.
We love seeing all your wonderful creations.

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge #158 - Fancy Edges, Die Cuts and Punches

Good Tuesday morning to you all!! It's time for me to share another Sassy Cheryl's Challenge card.
This week's challenge is brought to you by our lovely and talented Judy.  She has chosen the theme Fancy Edges, Die Cuts and Punches. Sounds like a pass to have a good time to me. These are the things that make a card grab your attention. I chose Cheryl's cutie, "Mama's Little Clown" for my card this week. I had some coloring time with my Mom and crafty friends, Kim of Oak Pond Creations  and Linda of Turtle in the Sand on Saturday. This is one of the images I colored. We had such a great time. We need to do that a little more frequently girls!! I gave this card to my Daddy for his Birthday. He just celebrated his 69th Birthday. Happy Birthday Daddy, you're the best!

I hope you can take some time this week and play along in the challenge. You know you want to, it's gonna be lots of  fun! Looking forward to seeing your creations.

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge #154 - A Sketch

Good Morning Blog Land! Hope you are all doing well and have had a good start off to the week. A lot of people in The States had yesterday off to celebrate President's Day. I wasn't so lucky, just another manic Monday for me. If you did manage to get the day off, I hope it was a good one.
I am back from a two week hiatus with a new image from Sassy Cheryl's. It is called Not So Small. Isn't it just too adorable? Cheryl has been really busy lately setting up a new web site and drawing some of her cutest images ever. I have a link a little further down in my post.
First, let's get onto this weeks Sassy Cheryl's Challenge.

This week's challenge is brought to you by none other than our talented and Sassy Dawn

You're How Old?!?

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge #150 - Birthday

Have we really almost reached the end of January already????
Well, it's Tuesday regardless and that means it's time for another challenge over at Sassy Cheryl's.
I had the honor of choosing the theme this week. We are going to be celebrating Birthdays!
I was feeling "Sassy" this week and decided to make a card that might get a snicker or gasp when it is opened. I may need it soon, my friends are getting a little older...but not me!

I am sorry that I missed out on last weeks challenge but as some of you may know, I am going to be a Grandma REAL SOON!! We had family in town last weekend for the baby shower and it was kind of hectic. After things calmed down I cleaned my terribly messy craft area and was able to pull together a card for this week. I miss it when I don't have my "Happy Time". Lol
Looking forward to seeing all of your wonderful Birthday creations this week.
Happy Crafting Y'all!!

Have you seen Cheryl's new Blog, Illustrated by Cheryl?  She has some wonderful coloring tutorials and excerpts from her sketch journal. It gives you a chance to see her images in the sketch stage before she makes them into digis and gives you an idea about where she gets her inspiration from.

Sending You a Little Prayer

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge #148 - Clean and Simple

This week's challenge at Sassy Cheryl's is brought to you by the letter "P", for Pat! She has chosen
Clean and Simple as her theme just to make me bite my finger nails off. Lol!
I can NOT lie...I peeked at the other Sassy Girl's cards already and they are FABULOUS!

I would like to say that I am going to try to be a better blogger this year. I have let myself get lazy. I do go around and see all my Bloggie Buddies' cards but haven't taken the time to leave some love. No excuses, just know that I will try to do better.

I made my card this week for a dear Friend and Family member who lost a loved one.
I am hoping this card brings her some peace of mind.
This image is one of Cheryl's Praying for Peace images. She also has a little boy. They are both so sweet.
I decided to paper piece my image to take place of  my usual froo-froo.

Thanks for all of you who joined in last week. We can't wait to see you at Sassy Cheryl's again.
Happy crafting y'all!!

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge #146 - Snowmen

Happy Tuesday! Only one week left before Christmas! Can you believe how fast it snuck up on us?
This week at Sassy Cheryl's we are getting our "Frosty" on with the challenge theme Snowmen, brought to you by our very own Crafty Cathy.  Great choice girl!! Perfect, especially for all of you lucky enough to have snow right now. Us Southerners will just have to pretend. ((*sigh*))
This week's challenge will run for 2 weeks so we can take a little break for Christmas.
That gives you a little extra time to join in on the fun.
This little snowball of fun is one of Cheryl's new Snowmen. Isn't he adorable?
He is Fa La La La La Snowman and you can find him HERE.

I would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Blessed New Year!

I made this card as a Birthday card for my Sister, Pam. She turned 44 yesterday and I would just like to remind her that she will ALWAYS be older than me. HeeHeeHee!!

"I'm in Love, I'm in Love...and I don't care who knows it!!!"

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge #145 - Feeling the Love

Good Tuesday morning Blogland! It's time for another challenge over at Sassy Cheryl's and it's my turn to pick the theme,  I'm such a Lucky girl!! I have chosen the theme Feeling the Love. Afterall, isn't that what this time of year is supposed to be about? Cheryl has soooo many images that can be associated with love. This little cutie was the one that caught my eye this week. Sassy Sally and her Favorite Blankie  just jumped out at me. Isn't she a doll?!? I think her little bear slippers look so comfy. I couldn't decide if I wanted to make them pink or brown, but as you can see, the brown won in the end. Lol
I paired her up with a new pack of paper I found from Martha Stewart. ( I can hear my Hubby now..."More paper?!?") I couldn't help it...

Last week's White Christmas really did challenge me. Thanks for making me step out of my comfort zone Jackie. I really enjoyed the entries from you crafty gals, so glad you had time to join us. This weeks challenge is gonna be a fun one so come on back and play again. Looking forward to seeing your take on what "LOVE" means to you.

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge #142 - Food or Thanksgiving

Good Morning! I hope you all have made it through another Monday. They are always so "Monday",
why is that? Maybe it's so we enjoy the weekend more. Lol

It's time to join in some fun over at Sassy Cheryl's Challenge Blog. I got to pick the challenge again this week, yay! We are celebrating Thanksgiving here in The States on Thursday so I decided that a Thanksgiving theme would be fitting. Don't worry, if you don't celebrate Thanksgiving you can still play along. Just use either food or being thankful for your theme.

There is a group that I belong to called Inky Digits, some of you may have heard me mention it before. Well, it was my daughter Savannah's turn to come up with a project for this weeks meeting. She found these cute little haystacks that you can use for place settings. We sat down on Saturday and made a few so we could show all the other ladies in the group how to do it. They are soooo super easy and fun. All we did was take a 6" X 12" piece of paper, score it at 2" and 4" on the short side, score the long sides every 1/4" to the score lines you made on the short side and cut the 1/4" score lines. Then you roll up the paper and curl down the edges. Easy peasy!! Pretty cute huh? I made one with twine, acorns and punched leaves too but I just had to make one with my fave cutie pie digital fella. Noah and his Prize Winning Pumpkin were just perfect for this project. Kudos to Savannah for finding this one.

Happy Thanksgiving!!!
(and happy crafting y'all!)

Sorry...I'm Late

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge #141 - Belated Birthday

Good Morning Blogland peeps! It's Tuesday and time for a new challenge over at Sassy Cheryl's. I have the honor of choosing this week's theme and I decided on Belated Birthday. I know we all try to be on top of things and never forget a Birthday, but be honest, isn't there always one that sneaks by us?
That's what this week's challenge is all about.
I have to admit that I was flying by the seat of my pants on this one guys. My printer (to put it nicely) has bit the dust. These are NOT the words I used this weekend when I NEEDED it for a few things. I had a few cross words with it, hit it, swore at it, talked sweet to it and then paid my last respects. (insert trumpet playing Taps here)  My card feels naked without a sentiment and I just didn't have a rubber stamp that quite fit. I turned my crafty space upside down looking for ANYTHING I could use and had almost given up hope when I came across some very old rub on words. I cut those things apart like I was making a ransom note!! Thank goodness I am a pack rat. Lol
I picked Cheryl's image, Noah's Tire Swing for my card this week. Don't you just love that sweet face peeking out from behind his tire swing? Can't be mad at him, right? That's what I am hoping for anyway.

Here is the inside with some more creative ransom note style lettering.
That "L" was actually a cursive "f". Pretty good huh? lol
It's amazing the ideas that can come from desperation.

It was so great to see so many of you in our first week back to using ONLY Sassy Cheryl images.
Just goes to show you how much Cheryl's characters are adored.  We look forward to seeing you all again this week and invite even more of you to play along. The more the merrier!!

Its A Guy Thing

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge #140 - Masculine

Good Morning and Happy Tuesday! It's Election day here in The United States!! I won't go
on a long political rant but I will be exercising my right to vote tonight after I get off work and
I hope you all will be doing the same.

This weeks challenge over at Sassy Cheryl's is all about the fellas. Dawn is our Sassy hostess with the mostest and she wants to see some cards made just for guys or about guys.  I know I seen to get in a girly fru-fru rut sometimes and go to find a guy card in my stash and can't find one.  So, this is a perfect time to get one done and ready. I had the most fun coloring this cute little boy! This is Noah  is All Ears. Isn't he darling?!? He is one of my favorite Sassy Cheryl images at the moment. I say "at the moment" because my favorite always seems to change from week to week. Lol

Don't forget that starting this week you MUST USE A SASSY CHERYL'S IMAGE to enter the challenge!
We would love for you to join us and play along.

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge #139 - Round About

Good Morning Blogland! We've come to another Tuesday and another fun challenge over at Sassy Cheryl's.
Our Sassy Sistah Dawn is the hostess this week and she has chosen the theme "Round About". What a GREAT challenge, right? I know you all will have a ball with it. Lol

Last year I saw my Sassy DT member Judy make a pumpkin with her Spellbinder's Labels 10 die cut and I knew this year I just had to try it. It was sooo fun and easy!! I haven't decided if i am going to turn this into an easel card or if I am going to use it for a decoration. What do you think?

I hope you all will have time to join us in this weeks challenge.
Get into your creative corners and think ROUND!!
Happy Crafting Y'all!!

**I have some very important information for you Sassy Cherylettes. Starting with next week's challenge, you will be required to use a Sassy Cheryl's image in your submission. **

The Wicked Witch of the West

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge #138 - Trick-or-Treat

Happy Spooktacular Tuesday!! Only a week to go until Halloween and our very own Sassy Ann has chosen the theme "Trick-or-Treat" for the challenge here at Sassy Cheryl's
Next to Christmas, Halloween has to be my favorite Holiday for making cards. I think it must be the colors. I just love the way black, orange and purple look together. I do love Halloween as a Holiday; but not the scary, pee your pants part. I like the "cutesy", little kids in adorable costumes part. If you are a teenager out collecting candy without a costume..."GO HOME"!! You will not receive any candy from this old witch. Lol
I chose Charlie, The Wicked Witch of the West  for my card this week.
Isn't she just the cutest little witch you've ever seen? (and her little kitty too, I'm gonna call him Jinx - Lol)
My card got a little busier than usual, but I just couldn't stop adding "stuff". Hope you enjoy it.

I can't wait to see your creations this week, so get out your spooktacular crafting accessories and join in for some Frightfully Sassy Fun!

The Good Little Witch

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge #137 - Orange and Black

Good Morning Blogland! It's time for another Sassy Cheryl's Challenge and this week our hostess with the mostest is our lovely, crafty Ann. She has chose the theme Black and Orange. Perfect timing Ann!
I know you all have at least ONE more Halloween card to make, so get out the black and orange and join in. I picked Cheryl's adorable Sassy Sally the Good Little Witch for my card this week. I found this step card base already folded and cut in my box of scraps and decided that it wanted some company. I paired it up with some Halloween papers (also scraps) and a spooky spider web border punch.
The end of October starts my favorite time of year. The cooler weather is coming in and it's time for jeans, scarves, football and PUMPKIN SPICE LATTES!!!  Next thing you know it will be time for the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. Believe me, I'm already counting down.

I hope you all have had a great start to the week. Looking forward to seeing you in the challenge.
Happy Crafting Y'all!!!
