Happy Independence Day!!

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge #122 - Anything Goes!

It's another Sassy Cheryl's challenge Tuesday! This week our hostess with the mostest is our talented and crafty Cathy. She is telling us "Anything Goes"!!!
WooHoo...free reign, freedom of expression, have it your way, whatever, no rules, no holds barred. Get the idea? Good, but let's keep it clean people. Lol
I decided to make a Patriotic card for the challenge since tomorrow is Independence Day here in The States.  That means another day of making cards for me, it's too hot to do much of anything else! It's been in the low 100's with a heat index of up to 115!! ☼ If you're not in the water you have no business being outside in my opinion. Even then, the water isn't really all that refreshing. Just stay inside!! ☺

I just adore Cheryl's new fuzzy baby Bella! When I saw her in this Uncle Sam hat and sparkler I knew I had to have her. Bella is showing her American Pride. ( I bet she is doing it inside too) Lol

Thanks so much for joining us in our fun Summertime Challenge last week. We would love for you to join us again. One lucky winner will win 2 free Sassy Cheryl digital images!! Remember, it's not required that you use a Sassy Cheryl's image...BUT...if you do your name will be entered in the drawing TWICE!

Don't forget to visit Sassy Cheryl's shop and take advantage of the
25% off 4th of July Sale!

Happy Veteran's Day!!

Totally Papercrafts Challenge #92 - Victorian

It's Victoria's turn to host our challenge at Totally Papercrafts so it's fitting that she has chosen the theme....Victorian. I do have to say that this is a little outside my comfort zone. So, this was definitely a challenge for me. I guess it's good to reach outside your box sometimes. I sure had fun creating this card and I have to say that I am pretty pleased.
It is Veteran's Day, formerly known as Armistice Day here in The United States. I wanted to make a patriotic themed card to show love and support for all our Veterans and to give thanks to them for their sacrifice.
God Bless You All!!

I don't usually show the inside of my cards, but sometimes I think I like it more than others. (Lol) This is one of those times so I am sharing.

I Love this American ride!

This month's theme for the Just Inklined Blog Hop is Red, White & Blue (Celebration optional).
There are two mystery spot prizes to be won!!
The two blogs with the prizes are not known so make sure you visit each stop on the blog hop for a better chance to win. I know these crafty girls have some beautiful creations to share with you. The oh so talented, Toni is leading this month so make sure you start with her. If you came here from crafty Joyce's blog you are on the right track. Your next stop will be with our fearless leader Jak. I hope you enjoy the hop and GOOD LUCK!!

Happy Independence Day America!!!

I was flipping through my Just Inklined images trying to decide which image I wanted to use and Daisy jumped out at me. I remember when I was little there was always a parade on the Fourth of July. We would all put red, white and blue tassels on our bicycle's handle bars and an American flag on the back of our seats and ride to the parade. Later that night we would ride out again to see the fireworks. This is what I imagined Daisy was doing too. She kinda reminds me of myself. (Except I would NEVER have been caught in a dress. I was a big Tom Boy)
I hope you all have a safe and wonderful July 4th!!

The order of the hop:

Paper: Creative Memories - Stars, Bazzill Basics - Breaker Bay & Red Devil
Accessories: Clip art - fireworks, Cuttle Bug - Star border embossing folder, Fiskars - Corner punch, Glossy accents, stickles & twine

With Liberty and justice for All!

Sassy cutie Mrs. Judy is our hostess this week at Sassy Cheryl's and she wants us to let part of our image wander outside its frame. Doesn't matter what shape your frame is, just have part of your image sticking outside. I chose one of my very favorite Sassy Cheryl images, I Pledge Allegiance this week and paired her up with some non-traditional patriotic papers. I know the blue isn't the dark blue of the real flag but I really do think it works. This week I made my first EVER "Step card"!! I have been trying to go a little out of my comfort zone and do some different things. I found a great tutorial HERE on LOTV Ideas to Inspire by Heater.
I sure hope to see your crafty creations in the Challenge posts this week!

In God We Trust

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge #65 - Patriotic

This week at Sassy Cheryl's our theme is "Patriotic". Cheryl has some great new "Americana" images in her shop! I just had to use one of her older images because I just love Cheryl's bears! Aren't they adorable!?!

Memorial Day, originally called Decoration Day, is a day of remembrance for those who have died in our nation's service. I hope we all take a little time out of our day to remember those who have given the ultimate sacrifice for our Country's freedom. May 30th is memorial Day here in The States and I will be celebrating the Holiday at home, probably grilling out and spending time with family.

I know some of you don't live here in The States but we want you to celebrate your Country as well. I do believe a few of the Sassy Gals are doing just that. (I peeked at their cards) So, join in and have fun showing off your Country's colors, past times, history, humorous sides...whatever floats your boat. Hope to see you all in the challenge posts this week.

Yankee Doodle

One more for Independence Day! Hope you all had a GREAT Holiday!

This little cutie is a Sassy Cheryl's digital image called "Uncle Sam". I used Creative Imaginations & Bazzill Basics papers and printed the "Yankee Doodle" sheet music off line. I used three different punches on this one; MS "Stars border", EK Success "scallop" & Creative Memories "Star".

Happy Birthday America!

I couldnt let this holiday pass without making a card for "My Country". It is her Birthday after all. This image from Sassy Cheryl's made it easy. I colored her with copic markers then cut and pasted her. (I think my eyes crossed a few times. Lol) Paper is Creative Imaginations. I used Spellbinders die "Labels Two". The little calendar stamp is Stugio G ( it was a dollar stamp @ A.C. Moore ). I love it when I find stuff like that.

I hope we all take time to reflect today and think about the true meaning of the Holiday and thank those who have and those who still keep us free. ♥
Have a Fun & safe 4th of July everyone!! ~jeni
