Nobody Can Be Uncheered by a Balloon...

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge # 155 - Monochromatic "Don't Be Blue"

Happy Tuesday Blog Land!
We are in the last week of February already. Spring is right around the corner. YIPEE!!!
This week's challenge at Sassy Cheryl's is brought to you by our lovely Sassy Sistah Ann of,
I Create...Therefore I am. She has chosen a monochromatic theme using the color blue.
Sounds fun, right?  I chose Cheryl's newest cutie patootie Maddie in this new digi called Ace In the Hole.
Don't you just love her big ol' hat?!?!? I just loved her the second I saw her.
I just knew the person I was sending this to would love her too.

Thank you for all your lovely entries in last week's challenge. I am looking forward to seeing you in the gallery again this week. So, get that crafty stuff out and get busy!!!

One last thing...
You have until Thursday at midnight (Eastern time) to take advantage of Cheryl's $1.00 bargain bin!!!
After that all those adorable images will no longer be available. So, stop by the store and get those images you have been wanting before they are all gone.

You Blow Me Away

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge #151 - Think Pink

Happy Tuesday! Has everyone settled into the New Year? I am FINALLY getting the date
right when I write it now. Took me long enough, huh? Valentine's Day is right around the corner
so I thought I would get a head start on some "lovey" cards.
I am hostessing this week's challenge over at Sassy Cheryl's. I chose the theme "Think Pink".
Mainly because I just love pink, but I also have been finding the prettiest pink papers!!
I had three different images colored for this card but ended up with one of Cheryl's older images. (one of my favorites) I just love this little Bubble Blower digi. I have cropped her and done a close up of just her face for this one. I wanted to focus on the bubble. Isn't she adorable?

Thanks to everyone who played along in the Birthday challenge last week.  We love seeing all your beautiful cards each week. Hope you all can play along this week.
Happy Crafting Y'all!!

A "Thank You" card...

Hello Blog Land! As you can see, I had a day off today to celebrate The 4th of July. What better way to celebrate than to spend a little time in my "Happy Place".  I wanted to make a Thank You card for someone who did a really nice thing for my Daughter and I. Savannah had a broken glass on one of her VW's side mirrors and I called an old business colleague to have it replaced. What a sweetie...he did it for free!!! I know it wasn't a fortune but it REALLY gives me a little faith in mankind when people do nice things for others. I couldn't let that go by without saying "thanks". So..."Thanks Tim"!

I will be making another one with a slightly different theme when I get a chance. Don't you love it when you are working on one card and get an idea for another one?!?
I pulled out one of my OLD wood mounted stamps for this one. I know, I can hear the gasps! This poor thing has been collecting dust for so long and I actually think this is the very first time I have used it. The stamp is a "Just Married" stamp, but I did a little paper piecing and made a new license plate.

Here's another Flip-Flop Creations sentiment freebie for you...ENJOY!

Dino Boy!

Happy Birthday to my "Best Boy", "Buddy Bear", "JoBoo", "Mini Man"...
My son Jackson turns 12 tomorrow! One more year and he will be a teenager! Where has the time gone? It seems like only yesterday he was running around with his curly hair and dinosaurs. He and his dinosaurs were inseparable! When he was 3 my brother in law asked him what he wanted to be when he grew up and he told him, "I want to be a Paleontologist". I don't think he was expecting that answer, but that was just Jackson. He soaked up every bit of information he could find about dinosaurs like a sponge. That phase passed a couple years ago and I miss it so much. He actually had a dinosaur back pack in kindergarten. So when I saw this image from Mo's Digital Pencil I knew it was the image for him. He actually had a dinosaur back pack his first year of school. I am entering this card in Mo's Challenge this week for "Fall Colors".
**HaPpY BiRtHdAy JaCkSoN!!!** We love you Dino-Boy!
