Sassy Cheryl's Challenge #61 - The Great Outdoors

This week at Sassy Cheryl's I get to be the hostess!! Yipee!! I have chosen the theme "The Great Outdoors". The weather is getting warmer and we will all be spending a lot more time outside. (and it's about time!) I have to say it was nice to finally get a touch of pink on my shoulders.

I made this card for my Brother In Law, Sam. He is an AVID golfer. He retired from the Army last year and is now a helicopter pilot in Colorado. When we went for a visit last summer he took us up and the view of the mountains was AMAZING! For me, they were beautiful from the ground because I had never seen them in person but the view from the heli was sooooooo much better. After I got over the initial "OH CRAP" feeling I really enjoyed it. Sam is a great guy and I am really glad my Sister brought him into our crazy family.

My desk is pretty tame compared to some weeks. I have only colored a few images. You can see some pretty flowers Linda (Turtle in the Sand) showed us how to make at card club on Tuesday, my Nook (I was listening to a little Jimmy Buffett earlier), some new rick rack, a card I just finished....just nosey around and check out the rest. If you have any questions about anything strange you might see that I forgot to hide...don't ask. Hahahaha! (just kidding)

Yesterday was my best friend Cindy and her husband Charlie's Anniversary. They have been married 9 years. You go guys!! This image is totally them in about 30 years! Hahahaha! (I think she will see the similarities) I love how she is getting a little grab of his bum, cracks me up! This weeks Sassy Cheryl's Challenge is brought to you by the fabulously talented Dawn from "Dawn...A New Day". She has created a fun sketch for us to follow. I just realized that my image is a rectangle and the sketch calls for an oval. Sorry Dawn, I never was very good at following directions. (ask the parents) I am in love with Cheryl's bird houses!!! I knew I had to use this image for today's challenge. I had so much fun coloring this one. Now, I just have to wait for someone new to move into my neighborhood. Lol

I know I am a few days late but I was going bonkers this past week and this weekend. My Daughter Savannah had her Senior prom and there was lots to do. (Picture below) Sorry I have missed stopping by your blogs the past few days, hopefully I can catch up tomorrow. I bet there were lots of wonderful, crafty, creations out there.

I did make time to color a little this week so you can see one of Cheryl's newest images for Spring and a couple Sparkle stamps I got last week. I also had another image I colored but I can't show you that because it is already on my challenge card for Tuesday, you will just have to wait a couple days.

Did you see my new Copic Treasure Chest?!? My hubby found it in an antique shop Friday. He put some grated ceiling tile pieces in it to keep the copics standing up. How clever is he!?! Boy, I'm one lucky gal. I love that he supports my "habit".

I have wanted to color this cutie for a while but haven't really had the inspiration and it hit me today!!! Woo Hoo! Little Jack has sold his Mom's cow and thinks the only safe place to hide is up this bean stalk. Lol

Relax, it's your Birthday!

The Tidwells have another Happy Birthday this month. My Sister In Law Angela's Birthday is Wednesday. I am so proud of her, she just completed the Cooper River Bridge Run in Charleston. In the past few years she has become a "Runnin' Fool". Great job Angela!! I made this card for her in hopes that she will relax and enjoy her special day.

On my desk this week is some new ribbon I got at Michael's for 1/2 price. That's right, 1/2 price!!! Then I used my coupon and got my new i.Rock tool. Can't wait to break that thing in, looks like a lot of blingin' fun! In the center of my space I have a Sassy Cheryl's image I am working on. I had the best time coloring her last night, she is my new favorite. She is called "Lady Bug Follow the Leader". (Please note: my favorite is always subject to change from week to week) I also have a few other images printed on some Kraft paper and colored them this afternoon at work because we were REALLY slow. (Shhhh...don't tell on me)
