It's the first Monday of the month and that means it's time for another fabulous blog hop over at Just Inklined!! This month's theme is "Check it Out". The hop starts HERE at Karen's blog, KJ's Summer Wine Corner. I'm sure the DT has plenty of beautiful cards to share. Please hop on over and check them out.
I missed the hop this morning because Mother Nature and I had a terrible disagreement yesterday!! She decided it was high time the Tidwell family had a day of NO electronics. We had a lightning storm in the morning and a tree about 20 feet from my house got struck. Our TV, computer, DVD player and Wii all got zapped. Luckily, no one was hurt and the house is fine. Just loud, scary and rather annoying. I took a pic to share with you. The lightning started at the top of the tree and went all the way to the ground. The bark was blown all over the place. I hope this old southern oak doesn't die. I love this tree.
Just realised the irony of my card and this poor tree. Creepy huh?
Please note my neighbor's car in the back ground with the window down...DUH!!!

Gorgeous card hun....and poor you with the storm..! You must of been so scared...I'm not very good and a bit of a coward when it comes to storms...and the tree looks so sad...hope it's going to be alright..! And your neigbour..Oops..lol..!
Hope things have settled now..big hugs Vicky xx
Lovely card Jeni, and it's a tree no less! And lightning hit your tree.... Glad you are all okay. We lost a huge tree in April. It blew over, ripping the huge root out of the ground. The wood has now been cut up, but we still don't know what to do about the root.

My favorite paper last year (before my yellow checked that was all gone when I wanted more) Ha Ha. Love your apple tree. So very fall and cool. That tree looks pretty bad, I too hope it is ok. It is a beautiful tree. Hope the electronics are still functioning.
Wow Jeni,I love your card,it's gorgeous with the DP,glad your all ok!
Hugs Heidy
Irony is right! How spooky. Love your card and sorry you couldn't hop. You might contact a nurseryman to see what you could do to help your tree. It would be beyond sad if it died.
Irony is right! Funny! Glad no one was hurt and it was only a little while you were out of electronics. Great card!
The tree card is gorgeous - but yikes, that's scary!! Glad no one was hurt.
Poor tree! But it gives me an idea for another low carb dessert :)
Thanks Sis!
Love, Pam.
