You're Out of This World!

Hi there crafty friends. I'm here today to share one of the newer images from Just Inklined. This little fellow ( One Small Step ) is perfect for boys cards. I have to admit I am much better at girly cards. Unfortunately, my closest friends all have BOYS!! This card is for a cutie named Austin. He will be turning 5 in a couple weeks.

Celebrate!

Happy Tuesday blog land friends!! I'm here to let you know it's challenge time again at Sassy Cheryl's. Cute and Sassy Judy is our hostess with the mostest again this week and she wants us to make some Birthday cards!! I know you all have the need for Birthday cards so get crafty.

I made and re-made this card several times. I think my daughter was ready to strangle me. I just didn't think it was quite the way I pictured it in the beginning. By the 3rd or 4th time I think I lost my original vision so....this is what I ended up with. (Lol) I usually don't do that but I am sending this one to my Sweet niece Hannah for her Birthday and wanted it to be special.

I sure hope all of you on the East Coast fared well during hurricane Irene. I live near Myrtle Beach and was very lucky, just winds and rain. I know I have talked to several of you who were coloring by candle light and were without power for a while. I was sending you warm fuzzies all weekend.

Bubble Blower

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge #78 - Lavender, white & green

As you know Tuesday is challenge day at Sassy Cheryl's...WooHoo!! Time for me to share another adorable Sassy Cheryl image with you all. This week our hostess with the mostest is the sweet and talented Judy and she has chosen a color combo theme. She wants us to use lavender, white and green in our crafty creations. I didn't realize how lacking I was in lavender/purple supplies until I started searching for my supplies to make this card. So....I had to take a trip to the craft store. HeeHeeHee! I bought some purple card stock, some purple flowers and a new spellbinder ( I didn't use it here). Any excuse to shop is a good excuse. :)

I hope you all can join us in the Sassy Cheryl's Challenge this week.

I have another thing I would like to talk about today. My Sassy boss lady is going through a tough time right now. Cole, a friend of her son's has had a terrible accident and he and his family need all the thoughts and/or prayers they can get. Cheryl is also asking all our fellow crafters to send a card to Cole to lift him up. Please go to Cheryl's blog HERE and check out the details. Thanks so much..I know crafters are the kindest people I know, who better to ask for help.

Gimme Candy!

I am here to share a little treat bag I made for Halloween. I found a great tutorial HERE. Now that I have it figured out I need to repeat this about 10 more times for all my little monsters. This one will surely be for a boy. This harmless candy monger is "Frank" from Just Inklined. Isn't he adorable? I had a ball coloring him, green skin and all. Lol

I'll Be Home for Christmas

Totally Papercrafts Challenge #80 - Christmas in August

It's Friday... FINALLY! And that means it's time for another fun challenge at Totally Papercrafts. Crafty Carol chose the theme this week and we are celebrating Christmas in August!!

I have been dying to color this cutie so I had to think of a way to put her on a Christmas card. I was picturing her in a train station sitting on her luggage waiting to board the train to her home town. I have always thought I was born in the wrong era. I love the 1920's -1940's. This image definitely reminds me of that era.

This week the Totally Papercrafts Challenge is sponsored by Karen's Doodles. Karen has graciously donated 3 digital images to the winner of the challenge.

I enjoyed checking out all the entries this past week and looking forward to seeing your beautiful creations for this weeks challenge.
Happy Crafting Y'all!

Happy Tuesday ! It's time for another fun challenge at Sassy Cheryl's!

This week I am the hostess and have chosen the theme "Stitch It Up". I want to see some stitching on your cards. ( real of faux, just stitch it ) I used a little of both on my card this week. I have some paper with stitching on it, I stitched a little by hand and this adorable image by Cheryl has stitching as well.
I want to apologize again this week for not getting around to comment on all your submissions. It has been tough at the Tidwell house without a computer. Hopefully this Ins. mess will all be straightened out soon and I can get a new computer. I did look at all your cards on my phone, but I can't leave comments. They were fantastic as usual. I love to see the different styles you each have. I can honestly say that I can tell a few of you just by seeing your cards.

I hope you will all join us again this week, Best of luck winning that Sassy Cheryl's gift cert.

Happy Crafting Y'all!!

Bee Mine...

Happy Tuesday all you Sassy people! It's time for another fun challenge over at Sassy Cheryl's. It's my turn to hostess again this week and I have chosen the theme..."What's Buggin' You?". Cheryl has the cutest images with bugs on them and I want you to show me your favorite. I know...I know, it's hard to pick just one. Narrow it down and do an "Eeny, meeny, miny, moe".

I went with her adorable Bee. I don't know how in the world he expects to catch a "Lady Bee" with NO honey!!! Maybe that's why he looks so perplexed. A couple of my "Sassy Sistahs" used this fold last week and I was busting to try it...and I loved it! You will probably be seeing this some more here on my little piece of blog land. I found this paper at one of our local scrapbook stores (Aw Shucks) and HAD to have it!! I need to go back and get some more before it's gone. (Honey, you DID NOT just read that, it's your imagination. )

I want to thank all the participants from last week and say that I am so sorry not to have gotten around to all your blogs. Your cards were BEAUTIFUL!! I was really impressed with all the different folds you shared. Hopefully I will be back up and running so I can comment on your entries this week. Happy Crafting Y'all!!

I miss you guys....

So sorry I haven't been around :(

(Pic for those of you who missed Monday's Post)

Just wanted to let you all know why I haven't been around to my usual blogs lately. If you missed my post on Monday, I can explain. Sunday morning we were hit by a really bad lightning storm and I have lost my computer, TV, DVD player and Wii. I have been trying to keep caught up at work, but I do have customers that bother me...I mean require my attention. Lol So, bear with me for a couple weeks until the Insurance company gets me straightened out. Hopefully I will be back to normal soon. ~jeni :)

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge #75 - Not your usual fold

It is my turn to host the Sassy Cheryl Challenge this week and I want to see some different folds on your cards. I have been seeing some pretty neat folds out there in blog land and I wanted to get out of my square rut. Hey...it's comfortable for me. (Lol)

I just adore Cheryl's new school kids images. This one is called "First Day of School". I know I have said this before but these girls with the bob hair cut remind me so much of my Savannah when she was little. Now she will be starting college at the end of August!! ** sigh **

I chose a side step card for my fold. I like the way they display so pretty. I like to leave out the cards I receive so I can enjoy them. You will usually find them on my shelves, kitchen island, craft table, or any flat surface. (Lol) Feel free to send as many as you like.

I hope you can come join us in the challenge this week. Look forward to seeing your interesting folds...inspire us. Happy Crafting!!

We are welcoming a new member to the Sassy Cheryl's Design Team. Pat Frank of Cards2Cherish is joining us this week so go check out her blog HERE. She is super talented and we are so happy to have her on the team. Welcome Pat!!

You're the Apple of my Eye..

It's the first Monday of the month and that means it's time for another fabulous blog hop over at Just Inklined!! This month's theme is "Check it Out". The hop starts HERE at Karen's blog, KJ's Summer Wine Corner. I'm sure the DT has plenty of beautiful cards to share. Please hop on over and check them out.

I missed the hop this morning because Mother Nature and I had a terrible disagreement yesterday!! She decided it was high time the Tidwell family had a day of NO electronics. We had a lightning storm in the morning and a tree about 20 feet from my house got struck. Our TV, computer, DVD player and Wii all got zapped. Luckily, no one was hurt and the house is fine. Just loud, scary and rather annoying. I took a pic to share with you. The lightning started at the top of the tree and went all the way to the ground. The bark was blown all over the place. I hope this old southern oak doesn't die. I love this tree.

Just realised the irony of my card and this poor tree. Creepy huh?

Please note my neighbor's car in the back ground with the window down...DUH!!!
