Refinished Stamp Cabinet

My hubby and I have refinished A LOT of furniture in our 20 years together but we have NEVER refinished a metal cabinet! Steve was on an on line auction and found an old Victorian style love seat for me to put in my craft room (pictures of that another day). It was an estate sale so there was a lot more stuff and this cabinet caught his eye. Being the awesome, loving husband he is he said, "Hey Hon, wouldn't this be a great cabinet to hold your stamps?". He was soooooo right! It has twenty 11x9 drawers just perfect for holding all of my wood stamps!! With a little soapy water, a few whacks with a hammer and some epoxy appliance paint it will be ready to load tomorrow (gotta let the paint cure). Now I just have to divide my stamps into twenty different themes. Oh gheeze...better get started!

  1. Hey - I have something similar to this, but in single width. In fact, I have two of them. One refinished in white in my scrap room, which I love...and another unfinished and no room to put it anywhere, so it's probably going bye bye. :(

You did a fantastic job with it!

  2. Wow you and Steve work fast. This will work so good for your stamps. I bet you could even store some ink pads and other stamp related goodies in there. Doesn't look like it will take up a lot of room either. Good Job Guys!
