Dino Boy!

Happy Birthday to my "Best Boy", "Buddy Bear", "JoBoo", "Mini Man"...
My son Jackson turns 12 tomorrow! One more year and he will be a teenager! Where has the time gone? It seems like only yesterday he was running around with his curly hair and dinosaurs. He and his dinosaurs were inseparable! When he was 3 my brother in law asked him what he wanted to be when he grew up and he told him, "I want to be a Paleontologist". I don't think he was expecting that answer, but that was just Jackson. He soaked up every bit of information he could find about dinosaurs like a sponge. That phase passed a couple years ago and I miss it so much. He actually had a dinosaur back pack in kindergarten. So when I saw this image from Mo's Digital Pencil I knew it was the image for him. He actually had a dinosaur back pack his first year of school. I am entering this card in Mo's Challenge this week for "Fall Colors".

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge #34 - Furry Friends

This week at Sassy Cheryl's our hostess with the mostest is Lily. She and I joined the Sassy Girls DT a few months ago. She wants us to create something crafty with one of Cheryl's "Furry Friends". I knew right away which image I was going to choose. The day Cheryl posted this cutie I was so excited. He is called "Wizard Bear". I teased Cheryl and said he will lovingly be known to me as "Beary Potter". (Sorry...BIG Harry Potter fan) Isn't he adorable? He is cookin' up some love potion #9!! Not sure who is gonna end up with this one. I may just keep it as a Halloween decoration. Who knows! Come join us for a FUN challenge. Cheryl has lots of furry friends to choose from, all equally adorable. You can get them HERE.

Delicious Low-Carb recipes

Today's post is not about me or my cards. I am posting to tell you all about my Sister's new Low-carb cooking blog. I am so glad she decided to do this. She is such an amazing cook and has taken the time to research & test/adjust these recipes so they not only taste good but are good for you. I have always teased her and refer to her as "Mrs. Cleaver" from the old T.V. show Leave It To Beaver. She is actually really good at a lot of things. She sews, builds furniture and is a fabulous Mother. (almost Grandmother) It seems like she has been all over the world with her husband and kids. Being a military family I guess there wasn't much choice. She has picked up bunches of recipes & cooking techniques in her travels. Check out her blog and try some new recipes for dinner this week. Mix it up a little!!

That's my Sister there 3rd from the end. We were visiting in Colorado this summer. We had such a blast and it is sooooo beautiful there. We miss it.

Have A "Berry" Happy Birthday!

Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge #52 - It's A Hop

This week Mo's Digital Pencil challenge theme for the hop is the rainbow -- all colors of the rainbow. I chose pink. I love pink! All shades of pink. I haven't been able to play in the Mo's challenge in quite a while and I barely made it in. Hopefully I can play again next week.
I used Mo's "Strawberry Girl" image and colored her with copic markers. She is just so adorable. The sentiment was made by my daughter.
I will be giving this card to my niece for her birthday later this month. This little sweetie reminds me of her when she was a little younder. She is a cutie patootie! (with a mind of her own) I love you Adain!

Snail Mail

It's Digi Shack Wednesday again! Time to showcase some images. You can also check out my Shack Sista's creations this week. They are listed to the right.

This poor little snail! *sigh* He looks so tired and discouraged. I had so much fun trying to make him feel better. I had a little help this week. I was stuck on what color to use for his mail bag and I couldn't decide on a sentiment. My blog friend Sarah "The Stressed Stamper" was also working on the same image this week and she colored her snail's bag red. I loved it and decided to make mine red also. Hope you don't mind Sarah, you inspired me. Lol My hubby and daughter helped me with the sentiment. He chose "Snail Mail" and said to share AIL between the two words. That's when my daughter and her pro computer skills came in. She set up the sentiment for me. (I told her she needed to teach me so I can do it again) Love the way it turned out!

I made this Halloween treat container for my niece. She comes knocking on my door every Halloween in the cutest costumes. Can't wait to see what she is gonna be this year.

W.O.Y.W.W.

It's snooping time again! Pop on over to Julia's blog and see what your fellow crafters have on, in, around or under their work desks! There are some real surprises, beautiful art work and lovely paper creations out there just wanting to be seen. SO GET GOING!!!

So....this Wednesday finds my desk a big mish-mash of stuff. I have a couple images I am working with there on the white Georgia Pacific card stock. In the center of my mess is the lovely card my good friend Linda designed. Some of you may know her as "Turtle In The Sand" from her blog HERE. She has some adorable cards and some humor over there. You should check her out. She even has a dog driving a car!!! We did this tonight at our card club "Inky Digits". What an awesome group of ladies!!! So glad they let me join their little group. As a matter of fact the card on the right is the card I WON tonight. My friend Lisa made this one, she's so crafty!! I say her style is shabby chic and she does it well. There is also a cute little packet of candy corn another one of my lovely Inky Digited friends made. Denise brought us all a little something sweet for Halloween because she is a little something sweet too. Lol! Last but not least you can see my new EK Success punch. I used my 50% off coupon at our new AC Moore!!! (Where Susan, another one my Inky Digited friends works) It is right across the street from where I work. Boy am I in trouble!!! It's just one small crafty world out there. It's funny how we are all connected.

Oh Christmas Tree

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge #32 - Paper Piecing

Tracy is our crafty hostess with the mostest this week for the Sassy Cheryl's blog challenge. She would like us to do some paper piecing. I am kinda new to paper piecing but I absolutely love it! I chose two images to work with this week; "Blanket Santa" & "Primitive Tree". This cute little Santa was screaming at me! His jammies and blankie are perfect for paper piecing. I had to give him some old fashioned jammies and a patchwork quilt. This card ended up "slightly" bigger than I had planned so I may just keep it for a Christmas decoration. Might cost a small fortune to mail it. Lol My hubby insisted I put another row of trees along the top, which I have to admit looks better. Love you honey!
Cheryl has the cutest Holiday images in her shop. It's never too early to start on those Christmas cards!

Paper: Bo Bunny-Tis' the Season, Scenic Route-Rockland, My Minds Eye-Tiny Dots(blue), Bazzill Basics-Rain & Rain Forest
Accessories: EK Success-Tree border punch, Ribbon Boutique-Holiday ribbon, MS-crystal coarse glitter, Marvy-White & brown liquid applique & Recollections-Christmas tree brad
